1=First Generation
use 2 genetic clones
Herm one
catch pollen
impregnate the remaining female
seeds are now S1
genetically identical to Mom

i get it now. thank you.. sorry for not thinking that one all the way through.

dunno why my mind went to bag weed, etc. so if done right a s1 is pretty good option for those who cant get clones or dose not want to deal with one. so much to learn.

ok, so. what about how the sprouts grow. i hate to use the work hybrid vigor but when i say that we all know what i mean., improvement over the mother. but if its the same as the mother.
well ,will, or could there be any growth difference. i mean if the S1 is from a old ass clone, we could never know for sure if a seed pop grows like it identical mom.. i dunno, this is something to trip on. heh. loads a bowl. and also i want to try now. laughs. im getting me some silver shit next week. i need to see this for my self.

IMO
for those seeking fem seeds and a very specific cuts they may prove to be valuable
they are sometimes unstable but that comes with the fem territory

Despite what has been said
there is no such thing as "Genetic Drift"
you can keep a clone producing exactly the same for years barring any kind of virus/disease/insect infestation
but with selfed seeds you are slightly tipping the balance by straining the DNA which may cause some traits to turn on and some to turn off as Selfing isnt exactly natural nor is Fem seeds in the first place

IMO
F-1 are the best seeds when looking for hybrid vigor and strong mother traits

Many times when breeding
the First generation to be passed down will exibit very strong genetics and will be very similar to mom
those next outcrossing would be F-2 and those will unlock the male and female traits causing a vast array of different phenos ....some wont even remotely look as those they are related....an extreme variety

S1 is a fem seed
there are many ways to make fem seeds
Silver being the most common
femming is the act of Herming
the very reason why femming is a very unstable product
I my self would rather use F1 seeds
but I dont mind weeding out males

i look forward to seeing this. lots of pollen chucking ahead of me. i want to see a really skinny leaf pheno. so far in my F1 ( feila daughter in greek etc ), iv seen plants with about the same size leaf as dad or mom, and one big ass leaf plant ( my fav pheno ), so far.

hopefully, anyhow. we see how my health goes.

Sup fellas, soo i think i have it all setup as far as pumping feed into the plants. Ill figure out a way to drain at some point. Soo how should i set this timer to feed? This is bout to get confusing huh? Lol

Also. Ive never used drip stakes before. The toro ones i have squirt a lil bit of water out of a few holes n the top of it. Would this not just water 1 section of the whole pot or does it soak around? N i have no clue how many times a day i should feed w the drip system or how long i should feed at a time. Good news is i fed the babes there tea today soo i wont need to feed until tomorrow. Just trying to figure out this timer n get it all setup correctly

It'll soak everything. As far as how much/often, that's what you have to tinker around with and figure out

run it twice a day. 1st time at lights on. 2nd time can be like 9 hrs later in veg..
In flower we will readjust.
We are gonna run it for 1 min each time.
you watch it. If you get to much run off then you close the big valve a little, then watch next time.. to much is better than not enuf

When u say clise the big valve a lil u talking about the shutoff valve or the ones on the splitter?
Thanks broseph i was gonna mess w it just be better to have somewhat of an idea to go off of.
