Yes mushroom is a fungus. All mushrooms are fungi but not all fungi are mushrooms. Why do i feel that last statement sounded more like a famous historical quote? maybe i need coffee or a nap

They’re not harmful to your plant. Leucocoprinus birnbaumii. They’re still young and will get bigger. Personally I’d scrape them off and get rid of them so they don’t produce any more spores.

I don’t think so and I doubt there are any mycologists on this site, those fungus experts are hard to find, lol. Maybe someone else knows more.
