Yeah I mainly just remove the larger leaves and anything not coated in trics before I hang it to dry. Then I do a quick dry trim before putting them into jars to cure.

I used to trim much tighter and probably will again I just haven’t done it in a little while so I’m still getting back into the swing of things.

My wife wouldn’t let me grow until the state legalized it. I don’t blame her. So I took a couple years off and have just recently gotten back into the Frey.
I'm right there with ya on both.
The leaves help prolong the drying process imo.
My wife is not a big fan of the time, smell, legalities involved in my hobby.

And I have a medical vard but am mot allowed to posses any flower! Duh! Is vaping not smoking!?
Now I sit in my nice warm flower room smoking some fire studying for room 2.0.

Nice.you like your AK dontcha? I can't blame ya as it's a shit hot strain.

I do. I really do. It was my first rock solid strain when I first started in 2001. Since then I have pretty much used it as my benchmark to judge all other strains. It’s a hearty strain, consistent, good yielder, easy to grow and when grown right is a treat to smoke all day, everyday.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the best I’ve ever had but it’s right up there. It’s a frequent award winner for a reason. Simon did a great job creating it and it’s one of the most storied recent strains in existence.

Most would do themselves a favor by popping a few beans and trying it out. I’ve had it grown by others and they didn’t do it justice. I wanted to prove to myself that the strain is still as solid as it always was. And I’m glad to report, it is.

It may not be the strongest most tastiest strain in the world but the ones that are usually don't yield well but AK,s a great balance of both yield, flavour, ease of growth and just general quality.nugs are rock hard.i remember one cut o ak I had back in the day and it was the strongest strain n potencey and flavor I had ever had at that time.it was so strong tasting it put me in mind of vinegar.i would gladly run Ak in my garden.i think it would b hard to beat as a high grade commercial strain.

Absolutely. When I started in 2001 it was pretty popular at the time. So much so I had to wait a few months to grab a pack and then when I grew them all out I tried to order another and heavens stairway never had them again even up until they got shut down.

I was able to grab a pack of f2s from Joey weed on cbay and grew those out and had great results including finding the elusive cherry pheno.

Anyhow sometime between running the first pack of F1s and the pack of f2s I learned how to clone. So from that point on I always had a cut of the f2 cherry pheno going.

Fantastic smoke and as you said it checked all the boxes.

Would be fantastic for commercial ops but the hype died out well before legalization. So it continues to live in micro gardens like mine :-)

It’s a very true breeding strain. I found the f2s to be nearly identical to their f1 counterparts. So that doesn’t surprise me one bit. Good to know :-)

Nice, i've got their bubblicous as i've heard some good things about it. I've also got a pack of Serious Seeds Bubblegum so I can compared between the two. Looking for that distinctive bubblegum flavor from a source I had in the 90s. It was delicious.

Ran both serious bubblegum and nirvana bubblicious.there is no comparison.the serious bg is miles better.or at least in my experience it was.it wasnt the same line just copied by buying the original and makin beans with em.i found it kinda weird that nirvana ak48 was basically what I assume was f2 serious 47 but bubblicious wasn't an exact copy of serious bubblegum which is an inbred line and are really stable and woulda been perfect to make more seeds with.it doesn't make sense in my brain.im not saying I agree with gypsy nirvana ripping off strains I just don't get the way he does it.

Yeah that is weird. Actually it was your suggestion that got me to spring for the serious seeds version. How was it? I’m anxious to get them going. Just gotta cull a few phenos of some other stuff and I’ll be popping some of them. Can’t wait.

A little fresh squeezed for the new toy, hohoho!

Dude, I love my Yocan. Bought it a couple years ago. Runs the perfect temps for my rosin unlike the cheap coils. Make sure you're using the quad coils though, doubles miss a lot of material.
