The led is 230 watts you will have 300 watts of hps. The led will put out more par and be a bit more efficient. However I don't feel the led is very good quality. There is no information on diodes and drivers. I am not a fan of units built like this and feel reliability is poor. However you will not have as much heat to deal with.

I'm an led guy myself but if heat was not an issue I would probably take the HPS myself strictly due to what I feel is a lack of reliability and quality of components. Not the ability to grow.

If you are talking strickley output ability I think the led would beat out the HPS.

When you say output I assume you mean par?

Yes. But depending on your space height you may get a more even light spread with 2 hps but you will get more heat. That is also important
Thank u bro im in a sort of green house so heat is no issue, i just want make sure tight nodes good growth more space covered as well working on a 6*6 space , altho if you think is not that much of a difference im liking 230w vs 300 w $$ na mean, what you think?

Tbh I would recommend the HPS in this situation. I just don't trust the reliability of those led but I also have no experience with them.

Maybe try to search as many reviews and customers complaints as possible then decide if you want them

So given the Leds are legit, it would be a good option?

grab yourself a cheap 315 w cmh and that will decimate the 150 s and the cheap leds. your welcome
As a matter of Fact the 315w cmh is what i use to Flower, so i wanted to use 1 either 150 hps or 600 led for 1st 4 weeks veg then for next 4 veg add another either 150hps /600 led to then take them indoor complety to the 315 cmh.? makes sense? My veg area gets 4 to 5 hours sun light direct sun light , when sun is good i shut the lights im trying to save energy.

Option 1: I would get a LEC/CMH and switch the bulb from 4000k in veg , then get a 3000k for flower (60ish bucks) and run ethier a 630 or one 315 cmh
than if you want the light to do more get a light mover ( you can seriously make 1 into 2) I run 3 LEC 315’s in my vegroom , replaced my old mh setup’s on movers ( couldn’t be happier )

Cmh lights have shit tons of uv, last longer than traditional hps/de’s in replacements and plants just love em
————-
Option 2 I would look up Timber led’s, look up model that fits your needs ( save up if you don’t have the cash yet, I wouldn’t buy junk lights cause that’s def your main environment % main score on harvest )

If I had my choice of HID I would also go CMH. If led, timber has great options, hlg has great options, rapid led has great options. There are more but those are reasonable prices for good LEDs.

Also the Chinese quantum boards with Samsung 301 diodes and meanwell drivers are a great budget option.

Could you post a link or steer us in the right direction friend? It’s definitely not easy to wade through the garbage blurps and such trying to find decent cheap rigs

This light is about $1000 from hlg. Virtually the same components. There are other cheaper options with lower wattage. @Buzzer777 is the guy you want if you go this route.

Check out the Mars TSW2000 if your budget is limited, it is the newest quantum board design. I was using their SP250 for a while.:)
No offense, but Mars is at it again for a change. Their "1000 watt" light draws 100 watts from the wall!
Atrium Lighting (Google them on Ebay) sells their 288 (135watt actual) for less money (you attach the heatsink and push in a few wires + wire the driver..15 minutes.)

Mars uses Epistar Diodes and Atrium uses the Samsung V2 301b diodes (TOP SHELF), just like the HLG. I can vouch for Atrium's CS and NO..I am not him! LMAO
Mars CS stinks and Atrium or HLG CS is very good.

The only thing that I see with Mars is that they are putting far red diodes in the board (TRYING to knock off HLG). This can be done by adding a <$50 far red puck to the Atrium setup (Rapidled and Graumau5)

yes but not cheap. those roleadros are filth just so ya know
I’ve have good luck with roleadro lights. You have to have a bunch of them since their true wattage is not what they advertise. I have 4 in a 3x3 flower tent that equals to about 800 true watts. They’re good if you’re in a pinch and offer good deals(60% off) on amazon quite often. I only buy them when they are on sale. I am converting to hlg quantum boards since I get awesome results with my hlg qb in my veg tent. I would say if you’re choosing between one LED or one HPS, I would go with the HPS.

Thnx for reply brother, all im looking for is supplemental light is just for veg as i am in a greenhouse 4-5 hours good light in summer not so good or steady in winter trying to veg 18hr , u think couple roleadros 600w as adver im aware of actual wattage could do the trick for a 6*3 space? what you think about this product , is it better than roleadros or hps
