Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone knows Canadian laws when it comes to clones?

Am I allowed to give them to people?
I know you can with seeds and all. But not sure if it's legal with clones.

I have a hard time throwing away clones. So I usually have one or two I can't use, but dont want to kill. Would be nice if I could just give them away. But also do t want to break any laws doing so.

Yes you can, but technically ONLY if the plants were started from seeds purchased from a licensed producer.

Given what I have seen, absolutely Nobody is following the licit/illicit cannabis portion of the act.

Technically you are only allowed to grow with seeds purchased from an LP. And as far as I know Tweed is the only company selling 1 variety of seeds in BC...

If you give cuttings away, just say its baker street from tweed lol.

Well right now everything I have came from a seed I got from crop king seeds.

I was going to offer up some clones to people or maybe even a trade (assuming they are also pest free). But it's not worth the potential trouble.

Meh.. Cannabis act can go F itself. Technically your whole grow is illegal just because of the crop king genetics.

Until they follow through with breeding plants that have genetic markers bred into them, I wouldnt worry about it. But that time is coming. It's why no company other than tweed is selling seeds right now.

I also want to just publicly state for the record in case big brother is reading this; All the strains I grow and share pics of are re-named phenotypes of Baker Street by Tweed lol.
Ahh there, feels good to be legal again... ffs.

Everything I grow is from all the seeds I get in the legal store bought stuff...One can gather a small collection...
I asked a while back about seeds and some came to this area but were dispensed at only a few stores, I ask about clones and nobody has any idea.

I'm surprised *cough* that they germinated *cough cough* after all the irradiation... lol

Probably something to do with their quality control, they don't seem to have any.
Many of the seeds aren't very mature looking though

Could be. I know the LP owner I know had to irradiate all their pot to meet Health Canada requirements for minimum mold counts, which is orders of magnitude lower than what's in the atmosphere. But that was before recreational, I'm not sure if they still have to do it to all the pot or just the medical stuff. Health Canada loves their red tape.

Purple Chitral from local store seeded bud.
It wasn't even a great looking seed, but here it is in ffof.

Wow! Sounds like lawmakers were smokin' crack in Canada when they came up with those laws.

Personally, if I were you, I would say fuck the law. I'm sure big brother has bigger fish to fry, rather than worry about what you do with a friggin' clone. Just be smart about what you say and do on the internet. Never give out your real name, where you live, etc. And use a VPN if possible. Never forget the golden rule. Loose lips sink ships.
