I think its time to transplant ? Any ideas ?
I'm weighing the pros and cons. Like @oldskol4evr said, the 1 gallons are pretty self-maintaining. I can respect that and understand the logic behind it, because I understand the root system could go haywire. However, the thought did pop into my head yesterday. I will consider it again after I get them back to normal with their nutes. I tried to bump up 50 ppm and they didn't like it this time. Just did a flush. I'll have to see how fast some coco can get here, as I think I have like a quarter of a bag left. I have the bags already, but they are five gallons. That's quite a jump from 1 gal.

Do you have room for 5 gal ? Can you get 3 gal , 3 could be adequate for complete flower finish if you want to get going into flower soon.
Those plants are looking great
What exactly are you feeding them ? And what ppm ?

They wont go into flower , maybe pre -flower , showing sex , but unless you changed the light cycle , they will just keep vegging , unless someone gave you auto flower seeds....

Cant wait to see about the sssd.......

Yea , they can root in a cup of water , might take 12 days ...or a bit more
Clone problem solved 😊

I can't remember if it was you or not, but I think you or someone said the Blue Gelato would go first right? I'm also thinking it was an auto, but maybe not. No idea what I did with the packaging.

Forgot to say, I'm feeding them Canna 1 & 2, with a touch of CalMag. They seem to like just a touch of it for now. Right now, they are right at 500 ppm. The yellowing came when I tried to go to 550 ppm. I'll give them a couple of days and try to increase again, especially since I now have to flush them out.

Yea
I might have said that the gelato would start earlier and finish earlier than the sssd

There are many reasons i didnt suggest putting cuts in water...
The failure rate is much higher using that method , ive never really seen growers rely on a glass of water

Ill get into the details later, but i think for most growers , if they go to the trouble of making cuts for clones , then they want the best outcome available , and coco, aquaponics or rapid rooters provide an easy more comfy environment..

I dont grow autos , but i imagine it wont be a problem , it will just start flowering now and join the Group when you flip , but again , pollinating autos with reg pollen is Going to produce strange seed , so keep that in mind

Can you post a pic of where you might see the plant flowering ?

Hey K , that plant in the photos is nice , but its a little unusuall , im not sure which strain it is , maybe sssd ? Its very compact and thats a little different than how most sativas grow. The full large , long fingered leaves are making the plant crowd itself , while the stem is remaining squat and not stretching long and tall like most sativas

A good observation might be that because of its height , its a female....

It also has a slight yellow leaf and the purple stem , which in my experience , can be a magnesium deficience , you can try a pinch of epsom salt spray , maybe ....
Sometimes those diesels are a challange , but you learn from them...

Ive thrown plants out of my collection if they are just too difficult or finicky...
Its deff not "flowering" or stacking on flower, it will only do that after a few weeks of "stretch"

And when it does "stretch" it will lose the compact profile , and turn into a fine looking plant , after dialing in its nutrient needs, its going to be a champion , i think....

The response to all the toping you did is a great indication that the plants are happy ,
They could finish beautifully in 3 gal if you dont have room for 5 , you should transplant soon so they can have an established root system for part "two" of their life......flowering.

I see where you might be looking at flowers , i think it might be more leaf /stem site growing out.....

I could be wrong , give it a few days......
But the tops are deffinitely in a grow pattern....

One more thing, i dont see any leaf nute burn , so light yellowing could just be the plant wanting more nitrogen or another feed.....
Ive seen my diesels get yellow like that , and im afraid to feed more because it imagine they are stressed , but after more feed , and 4 days later , they have improved color....

This is just instinct , do what you feel is tright , but to me , they look like they can handle a pinch more......

Actually , now that i look more closely , the color looks fine ........

If you are comfortable, take a butter knife and run it around the edges of your pot , and dump it upside down to check the root ball , even thoigh its in that ffabric pot , you might find a huge tight root ball that needs more room, and thats why its a little compact and struggling to move verticle......

You can just drop the plant back into the container , no harm done. Of course i use plastic pots , so its easier , and im not sure it you will tear the root , im not really sold on those grow bags , but i guess in coco it serves a different purpose......

People say they are "self pruning" but eventually the root ball ends up overcrowded inside , if its constantly being pruned , where the heck does it go ?

Anyone who knows , please chime in , im interested......
