Growing in 50% Coco, 25% happy frog, And 25% ocean forest. I'm showing early signs of deficiency right after transplant... Chalk it up to transplant shock, it's a mildly hot soil right meow. Was wondering if anyone grows through flower this mix and how do/ or do you amend it... Plants look a little heavy in the N right now but might be a pH thing. Does the happy frog/ ocean forest mix have an unusual pH? Know the ocean forest liked to be low 7's

Option b and c, feed the fox farms trio I did last time or feed micro nutrients and molasses water mixed with a few teas later on. I'll keep playing with it if no one chimes in, but nobody ever disregards a helpful tip

im still trying to figure out what your running, cant say coco or soil, with that said both have difrent feed patterns, happy frog and ocean at 25% cuts are by no means hot,i put seed to harvest right into ocean,ok so you got 50% coco, well coco has to stay moist all the time and doesnt have a thing in it ,i mean nothing unless you put it in there,so just like last week i cant answer your question ,wish i could but you have to decide what your media gonna be,if you went 75% coco well then you could feed like you would in coco, same for the soil if it was 35% of each you could feed like soil and the coco would be just like adding perlite for air if you dig.
plants look good so go with what you been doing, good luck

These soil and coco mixes can be hard to figure out. I grow in coco coir only. What are you currently pHing too? What are your humidity and temps? It looks like the start of magnesium deficiency. Make sure it’s getting the proper micro application.

thats what i mean ,how? you cant keep the soil wet it will turn to mud and stink with compaction, sitting in soaked roots all the micro nutreint lay in wait, your macro nutes can be uptake ,but even those dont help with out the micro nutes ,so who know ,be interesting

yeah, thats a tough combination.I see more people have issues than not.Next time go way less or way more on the coco percent at least that helps in knowing which way to go if there is an issue

Seems like it might be a bad mix then.. explains why 1 of 4 responded positive. I pH the water between 5.6-6.2 hoping it hit a happy median between soil and coco. humidity ranges about 45-50% lights on with humidifier and around 70-75% at lights off. So to take a step back and look it's better to uproot em again... Full ocean forest didn't burn my plantslast run.. the feeding on top of the transplant did.. just assumed after numerous accounts of it being a "hot" mix in other grow threads. We'll it ain't the end of my beans so I'll play this one out again... Think it's better to treat it like Coco or soil? Sounds like I should treat it like soil with more attention to water needs... The point was to amend it for just water. ... Seeing that's not what I did, maybe next time... So I'll feed it, I fed fox farms last time, thought maybe I would try the g.h. maxi series this go. Any thoughts to why I shouldn't make the switch? General hydro vs f.f.

Still alive and going... Sad leaves but taking the beating... 7 leave everything new growth... For a problem it has an answer.... Acting like a weed and going for gold kiddo! Glass is half full here, get you some! And trying til you're really trying

So far so good!
Been feeding 1 tsp fox farms grow big hydro ph'd at 5.8-6.2 every other watering, 1 gallon water and 1 table spoon molasses ph'd the same in between. All feedings split between 4 plants.

They started showing nutrient deficiency in some of lower new growth so I upped the dose to 6L h2o and 2 tsp grow big ph'd to 6.0

They gladly accepted and perked right up, little heavy this morning though. Intentionally trying to replace some unused nutrients left from the previous light feeding. Looking to keep em in the 2g pots still. might get a little more room here soon, the tallest is looking more male every day.. the other 3 are still in the run!

Gonna make some adjustments next watering and see how they do.

Looks like she liked a light defoliation and a little less of the spotlight! Rich color and no more canoeing, I think she's adjusting just fine. The soil since transplant is now more Coco than soil, not sure when she will uptake all the nutrition but i will find out and let her tell me. Ph'd water of 6.2-6.5 no added nutrition with a little wattage cut for now and the ball starts rolling again! That last pic is the males I refuse to cull for now cause I am really enjoying the greenery in the scenery every morning.

Started something new... Got a personal contest going on... Have 4 beans popped! First 3 are super silver glue in 3 soil types: 1 happy frog cup, 1 ocean forest cup, 1 Coco cup all popping in soil starter plugs... 4th is a Coco/happy frog/ocean first mix with a bag seed of the Colorado plant... Let's see what happens!

Well she looked happy so I flipped her to flower today. Let's go for a 8-10 week ride and find where the problems with this mix come in. So far between transplant times replenishing the soil had been easy just repeating the mix. It just doesn't want to be fed nothing... Ignore it like my aloe or philodendron and it seems happier. Gonna have to figure something for bloom, soil doesn't contain what she's asking, just don't know whether to amend or try a bloom nutrient. Suggestions?

Soooo I did something... Topped it a week into flower, would have out grown the tent otherwise. Shows stress on top 4 branches with purple streaked stems but good swelling at the nodes bottom to "top." Now I know it's putting it's energy into the other branches, just hoping I didn't stress it to Herm. Looks good for almost 2 weeks into flower Also got in some transplanting. The farthest pot is happy frog and has a killer root system rimming the bottom of a solo cup and growing up with most growth up top as well. Middle is ocean forest and has a decent root system reaching the bottom of solo cup with a close second to h.f. on upper growth. Closest is Coco with a soil seed starter with smallest upper growth looking hungry. The Coco seed is now in a 50/50 mix of h.f. and o.f. cause I just don't seem to see time to maintain Coco with my work schedule. All transplants watered with a liter of 6.4 p.h. filtered water to soak the soil. Ween em back til they outgrow these pots and do it again!

Been a few weeks, rounding out the end of week 3 of flower in the 4x2 . Showing some signs of deficiency, put more phosphorus rich nutes in the last 2 waterings. Still chugging along nicely I think though. Little 2x2 is vegging good. Happy frog still the largest, ocean forest second, and happy frog/ocean forest mix coming in hot now that it isn't in Coco/perlite!

The hf has mycorrhizae for roots. I use it for seedlings then uppot to ffof which is a little hotter.

Changed a few things this week..
Put a 20" box fan in there for better airflow, added back the 130w (300w), and put 2 smaller plants into the flower tent. Transplanted the 1g to 2g pots in ocean forest before letting em settle in. Works to help fill space and if they both come up ladies then maybe I wouldn't run out before the next harvest!! If not, keep trying!

So an update..
As far as the main lady goes I tested my runoff and found an acidic pH to be a good start to my problems. I flushed til runoff read a steady 6.4, we'll see if she recovers for 4 more weeks. I sure hope so cause I love how she is stacked at 4 1/2 weeks! Got a confirmed male from 1 of the 2 plants I put into the flower tent... He will hang outside for amusement just to see what happens between now and when I try a hand at outdoor growing. Replaced him with the 3rd vegette I had, sure like this pheno! Wish I had space to play with mothering it if is confirmed female. Super branchy and short compared to the other 7 beans popped of this strain. added some supplemental cfl lighting to the veg tent since the cf grow cob is causing one leaf growth on 4 seedlings where the vipar Spectra was growing 3 at 1st node... may be on my end might be the cheap light, I suppose I'll find out. Lastly, replaced the 20" box fan with a 6" 230 cfm booster fan. Caused a positive pressure so now running exhaust fan no scrubber since smell ain't my main focus. Running about 74-82 degrees farenheit floor to roof of the tent. Constantly making adjustments learning from mistakes, one of these days I'll get the hang of it

Hopefully she pulls through without a hitch, looks strong enough. I am using a similar soil. I'm not a guru or anything and not sure how much it would help you but I usually add a liguid Mychos with water if I think the plant it going to stress, transplants, or last bit of a flush. Seems to keep them happy during the transition. The brand I have been using is green life biotics and it goes a long way. It is also omri listed if that matters to you.

I'm intrigued, what is liquid mychos? I haven't heard the term yet.
