It’s quite sad actually to see people pay for a wee sticker nd a shite light,
For the same price maybe cheaper you can get more reliable units, brands that actually care about the personal needs rather than your money

To anyone looking at leds on amazon save your money and get some t5s for veg and some hps for flower
Might be a bit more costly in the long run but you get out what you put in

If you put a plant under a 100-300w led your not gonna see the same results ass a 600w-1000w hps impossible

Even if it says 600-1000 replacement just don’t bother you won’t be happy with yeild and you’ll just regret it,

These 100w (600 meant to be) leds on amazon,
You would need 6/10 to cover the same intensity as a 600-1000w hps
At $70-$100 a pop that’s a lot of money you coulda saved by buying the $200 hps

Do your own research and listen to the more experienced people who use the products,
not trying to sell the products
These cheap companies only want your money

I run lots of LEDs. Just quantum boards and pull 2gpw. No co2. No bullshit advertising.

I can run up to 1200w of real power from the wall of leds ina 4x8 and its more efficient and cooler than and hps out there. I run cmh but the new led tech is killing it. I get 3/4 of what I get with the leds and same soil/feed/plants

But as a beginner that’s pretty hard to pay for all they lights
Aslong as you follow the 0.5-1g per watt rule you should have a rough idea of how many leds or what ever you need

Fooled? I have 10 years experience propogating and breeding corals. I am very familiar with lights, and I was not fooled into anything. I just had a question about the particular spectrum cannabis needs when I originally posted this thread. I intentionally bought these lights. I also intentionally bought Samsung Quantum boards. I will never and I mean NEVER listen to someone who says dont buy this because its "Shit". What are your reasons that they are shit? Im doing the research myself, and I have learned an immense amount in the last two days. Well worth the 300 bucks I was tricked into spending. Not sure why you are so negative but If you dont have anything productive to add. Please dont bother.

In addition to my previous reply. Mars, was literally the first person to reach out to me via pm when I signed up here, has followed up throughout the process, answers my questions within a few hours, and continues to be of assistance. THAT is why I bought the lights.

This is not accurate at all man. I just got a samsung quantum board on amazon for 209.00 with a meanwell 240 driver. Imo LEDs are the future. They are more efficent, can cover a more broad spectrum, consume less energy, and produce less heat. This goes for LEDs outside of cultivating cannabis as well. I have done the research on leds for years. Im just new to growing cannabis, not to growing things. Just because I havent grown cannabis, doesnt mean I dont know what Im doing here. Underwater plants are still plants and photosynthesis still occurs. I have plenty of experience dosing nutrients, breeding, and harvesting. Here let me give you an idea below. I use LEDS and t5s for all of my tanks. I havent used MH or similar in 10 years. I have been different using lights to grow shit for just as long. I am here because I do want to listen to people with experience. I want to hear ALL of the experience. Just not from someone whos way is the only way. Thanks for the input though.

Grew coral, soft and hard for a decade or more.... mars reached out cause they want your money, if you look at their history then you would understand my negativity towards the company. I’m glad you got some Boards, I’m sure you will have great luck with them. If you want cheap veg leds I recommend these as they are a great deal and work fantastic for me.

Their sub par builds and the loads of unhappy people do to the lack of customer support for their products. They have evolved, and done a great job stealing whatever they can from other companies to try and catch up. It’s the history of the company, their lies and mistreatment to their customers that I say their company is garbage. I hope you grow some amazing green, and I’m sure you will, but when I said foiled I didn’t mean to put you down. It’s they way they conduct and have conducted bussiness for years. Maybe you should smoke some more of that perfect weed you are growing. There are 100 things going on in this thread and you are only focused on Mars. Im asking for help, not what you think about their business practices, I am currently using one sp150 and 2 600 black boxes to veg 3 plants. Explain to me where I am going wrong here

For starters that’s way more light than you need for veg. But I’m sure regardless of the waste of energy they will respond great. My smoke is far from perfect. I constantly reach to achieve better results.

I think you’re missing the point here. We established a week ago that the Samsung boards are superior. I’m using the other sp150 as supplemental light in my 2x3 (soon to be a closet buildout) so that I can dial back my Samsung boards. Mars is going to be my supplemental lighting in the 40 foot trailer buildout I am doing. Simply because I like the footprint of the linear light You clearly didn’t read everything. SUPPLIMENTAL

I would suggest continuing to do research as you build your trailer and utilize what you have to build your experience growing

Kingbrite, and another company I have found will build boards to specs with the chips I want. So its most likely 3000 and 3500k boards with cree 650nm and 730nm alternating. Thats why I bought all these different lights. With all the misinformation out here, and everyone doing things the best way that they believe that they should be done, I just want to take as much data as I can, and run with it. Im having fun with the whole process, and really havent spent THAT much money. You will see. I will eventually start pulling out my T5 and MH stuff from my coral tanks. I borrowed a quantum sensor from the local reef club I belong to so I will start putting out some vids with par readings and stuff. You are not the first person to have an issue with mars either. Someone else who has been very helpful does not particularly care for them either. Companies can change, and improve, and so can people, so Im all for giving them a shot, its the only way I am really going to learn for myself. There is a reason they are around. Thats all I know.
