Veg time ?

Hey hey, I'm growing 3 Durban poisons. Everything has been going pretty well have only run into some minor problems that were easily fixed.
The plants are 9 weeks old and are fed once every 2 weeks as well as sprayed with a foliar spray once a week. I'm growing them in a green house with 5 Led light panels totalling about 500w.
I was just wondering how long I should veg my plants for ? Is there a cut off time for how long a girl should veg for ?!
I was thinking of making her flower in 2 months time?
Also all 3 plants were planted at the same time in the same medium yet one of them is quite lanky with less foliage

I personally do a 2 month veg

Just depends on height available, and your patience. One month is good, cause they will stretch like crazy once you fill the light schedule

I like to let mine veg for about 3 months, or until I run out of room, with the room needed for flowering kept in mind. The bigger the plant, the larger and more yield you will get, which is why I let mine get pretty big before flowering. Once they reach about 2/3 of the available height, I'd switch them. Sativa's keep growing during flowering, so I would flip them a little earlier. Indica seems to stop growing once it stretches into flowering, so sometimes they can grow longer. It all depends on how much space you have and how well the plants have been trained.

Not yeild the same as 1 under 600w in a 4x4 if you filled the same space?

Hey thanks for the reply :) yeah they are Durban Poison so sativa I'm planning on training them a little bit more just so I can get optimal light coverage with all the flowers

Just go until you feel ready then just remember your plants will double in size if not triple when you flip just keep that in mind when begging big plants don’t wanna run out of room nd one plant be fighting for more light than the others

Hey thanks :) yeah I'm in a tent ATM just in my spare room but I do have more lights I can set up if I need to use the whole room. I'm hoping to train them more wide than tall hopefully I get that right I've just been "main lining " I'm sorry if that's the wrong term ahhaha I've just been tieing some branch's down slightly to let more of the plant have light

Since we are talking veg. If you start a plant from seedling, when do you truly start counting the days in veg. I’m assuming i don’t count the seedling days. Correct me if I’m wrong. But I think in order for me to correctly count the day’s, I need to know when to start counting. Thanks.

I mean if I'm being honest I know jack shit hahahha as I said I'm a newbie but I do agree that you shouldn't count the seedling days, would you start count after the second set of true leaves or more or what would you suggest ? The plants are just over 9 weeks old from seed

Plants typically stay in the seedling stage 12-14 days
So I start counting after 2 weeks

Since they are a straight Sativa strain, I would concentrate HEAVILY in training the main branches to grow as horizontally as possible. I grow a lot of old strain Sativas and despite a lot of training, they are difficult to control when they start really growing, as they keep getting taller. Mine grew to 8 ft indoors and was above the levels of the light... it sort of grew upside down. You don't want that to happen. With a Sativa, I would recommend letting them to start flowering about half way up you available height. Even withthe branches mostly horizontal, it will still grow tall! You tend to get long buds, not nuggets because the plant keeps growing during budding, unlike an Indica which stays about the same height once it stretches.
Here are a few branches that were from one Sativa plant split into 8 main branches. Despite training, you can see how tall they get. The buds aren't nuggets, but longer and looser. They handle humidity better than indica.

Yeah I've started training the plant since it got out of seedling stage. Just with Topping and tieing down the main branches most recently. I do still have 3m of Hight above the plants

I let my sativa seedlings go a lil bit and they ended up a lil stretchy but I topped them at 2 weeks and then again once the plant had recovered. I switched to tieing the branches down though after the 3rd topping just as I didn't like how much stress I was putting them through.

Mind by really bad editing hahaha but the green circles are where I topped them, the plants were SUPER STRETCHY I know but I quickly fixed that.
Second picture is the growth from topping and after I topped them a second time.
