What's the best stains of all time? You decide, and tell us why you think so.

My vote has to go to Cali/Oregon OG (Ocean Grown) Kush. It's progeny has dominated the world of cannabis for decades.

I agree with u also the og kush I got from Cali 10 years ago when I lived there was the best. It was that “couch lock stare at something without blinking for 10 minutes can’t move” kinda high. Now I’m back at the east coast and it’s mostly sour diesel(which is great too)

I agree the SD is up there also, probably a #2, certainly in the top ten. The OG Kush just has so many pheno's, it's like it's own subspecies.

Yea So many seed companies say they have og kush and when I grow it out it’s nothing like the og that I know and love. I heard karma genetics has the best representation of og in seed form.

Yea, I've only got a few of those kinds of seeds and none of them leave my possession right now, until next year when I can afford to grow them out properly again and select the best cultivars. I've got like 2 different kinds, but one in particular stands out from the pack.

These kinds of plants need space, I think to really do them justice, and growing them indoors and knowing what you really have is difficult to determine.

Great strains, but I'm going to bring it back to the base of a lot of todays strains, good old Skunk #1 or as us old people call it, the roadkill skunk. Haven't seen any since the 90's.
Actually, I've seen it more recent than that. It's in Oregon for sure, (on the coast) and the one I had back in 2005-7 was so strong you couldn't even walk in a room with 1//8th of it rolled up in a bag and in your pocket. The entire room will be starting at you.

I need to get a good skunk, and a decent representation of the Sour Diesel (I've got one coming though actually, SD x GSC in late veg) , and some Strawberry Cough next.
I just finished a (Big Growing) Thai today that's finally cured, it's got big fruity citrus lime tones, so very nice, I love citrus.

The best strain is subjective but the smelliest foggiest strongest long lasting for hours tastiest strain ever was the original outdoor skunk weed of the early 80’s.

Bet it had about 13% THC. ;-)

I've had plenty of flowers that tested low but were very potent smokers. When I see 25-30% on an analysis it does impress me, I'm not saying it doesn't. But there's plenty of 10-15% strains that are still very potent producers. I can remember strains back in the early 70's that only had 7-10% THC back in the day, and thought many were wonderful strains, actually. Like the original Columbian Gold's and Red's, the early Maui wowie, and of course the skunk weed.

Ooooh. I will put 1980’s from Hawaii Maui Wowie 2nd. And maybe first for flavor. We used to get hooked up with different imported stuff back then. In between local crops. Indoor was getting popular too.

Im not quite old enough but these 80’s strains had a laughing part and a spaced out part.
Yes, I think some of them had much more body and mind effects, depending on the stains. I think it might have to do with the combination of neuroreceptor reponse where your getting slightly different neuropathways being saturated. I think most full bodied cannabis probably have all the different chemistry, just the ratio's are a bit different, and it hits the neuron receptors differently. some you'll have better color visuals, some are going to inhance sounds, or thought. analgesic vs muscle relaxers vs anti anxiety vs anti inflammatory or antidepressant activity. There's lots going on pharmacologically, with different strains my friend. Hopefully, eventually we'll be able to identify and isolate some of these chemicals.

I wonder if differential centrifugation could do something to refine the process, or some other methods of fractionalizing the different isotopes could work. Ever heard of someone suing a centrifuge for cannabis?
