Yeah again so long as everyone is doing their best to keep records with that system and then posts them, and we have people who are trying to keep everything straight from those posts, it seems like it would have a chance.

like let's say @Grownsince95 has found a sick female that he really likes but @Hortulanus has a sick male that people are gushing over. so long as someone is keeping track of everything, @Hortulanus could ship pollen to @Grownsince95 and then receive seeds in return. those seeds could also go out to whoever wants them. If records are being kept by multiple people, and we are all making an honest effort to keep everything straight, that could still be a dope evolution EVEN IF people are still finding cool stuff within the same generation that @Grownsince95 and @Hortulanus found their cool stuff from. So long as records are kept and we know what is what (everything is mapped...and i agree the system sounds good), natural evolutions based on interest could evolve and we could make a net of cool genetics created from the collective dream that is this thread.

or something. god i am stoned i am sorry if this is pretentious nonsense.
This made sense to me and I am happy to provide whatever administrative abilities/resources I have to help organize and pheno hunt, just in a smaller scale.

I'm still trying to figure out what two strains you are going to cross.

Ok so can it look like this:

we are all cracking f1’s and posting them here and at that point we can compare based on everyone’s data and photos they post in this thread and and perhaps have a forum wide vote at that time?

Should we all at least use one template record to standardize a bit? I know @amekins was working on a good one
It needs development with everyone’s input on what basic information we will all be collecting and standardization for data so it’s easy to sort.

Oh come on. All he needs is a gentle breeze to get his seed spread. Relaxing my ass. Lol😜🤣🤪
I’ve tried to help keep that down with the shields as well as a latte clear plastic bag over the top of them I did it last season it worked well after I grew out the seed from the crossing all I need is 4 to 6 fat flowers of each vial them and the males go to the chooks this is well done before your females have even sexed so I’ve got really no way of there pollen to spread that’s how my dad taught me back in the 70’s A . Safest way then you bring the pollen to the ladies in a controlled manner .

I'm crossing both the sherbet and champagne with the "mystery" male. Right now it looks like the champagne might be a better choice in the end we can all decide together what to move forward with.
So you have any clue as to the mystery male origin?

That’s what I’m trying to suss out. Get this party rolling. @Grownsince95 is lead, @amekins is lead administrator, @Milson is resident brain, and I’ll cheerlead 🤣🤣

What is also cool is again, so long as we are keeping track of everything as a community then we can have outcrosses too if people have interest. The key is interest, because as OD said, someone has to be smoking this stuff to get good data.

Like if someone else wants to start a new original cross and has interest from others, we can use same classification system. It's not much more to track if we are all trying to do it step by step and count on people's natural interest in cohesiveness and good vibes. I hope.

And if we all end up just wanting to do our own thing and only sporadically running each other's stuff, but we are still mapping it....i still believe that will have gravity over time and draw people in. If it's good. And we can dip into and out of projects without fear of consequences and just honestly contributing what we can in an honest to God spirit of sharing and good vibes.

Currently, I have a spreadsheet setup that people can access, save a copy of and use for their record keeping and/or store it directly in a working spreadsheet that people can be simultaneously entering information for their strains (different column within same sheet).

Just be patient with me as my brain isn’t quite as adept as it used to be and things sometimes require stupid explanation for me.

That’s easy cause I require the same patience often lol

I have a hard time being serious so read everything I say with a bit of a giggle.

Yes. I was supposed to be getting a clone only sourD cut but wound up "accidentally" getting cuttings from his "breeder male". I was there in VT and saw his whole grow, the clones were ready when I got there idk wtf happened. His story sounds like bullshit so now my story does too I guess...but I grew those bastards and trained them like good ladies only to get the surprise of my life when I flipped them. It's a vigorous, sativa heavy,, impossible to kill, very smelly specimen. I know this guy a while and got my $ back right away. He was like "dude, keep it and breed it you'll see".....so here I am. 🤷‍♂️

As borat would say ........ " ah very nice "

Now that's a dad to take seriously .......

So question how long does it take for the seed to fully develop? I had an accidental pollination late in flower any chance any will be viable?
