I'll go back thru the thread tomorrow and look for a post from you. I've already made a few mistakes, you could be one of them. I'll let you know..........if I find it, you're in. If not, you're out.

Thanks for looking sshz, it probably was a second guess on that last grow you had. My memory is certainly not the best. So which of the two have you enjoyed growing more under these new lights? The zombie or the zkittlez? I finally got my hands on some of the zkittlez, I only got three seeds, which should be more than sufficient to replicate the strain.

It wasn't Zkittlez, it was Orange Gasm.......... I think the Orange Gasm grow held my interest better, but I'm more excited about the Sweet Zombie smoke prospects. Every grow has it's moments, good and bad, that stand out. This crop is going to be a harvest nightmare because of the amount of branches, so I'm already dreading that future aspect. Otherwise, at this point in my life (and not really smoking anymore)- all I see is $$$$ signs when I look at the room and not much else. The business aspect has become much more important in my old age, while my love for growing has dimmed somewhat...... but that often changes crop to crop.

Hey SSHZ, Do you remember back some time ago in one of your threads I'm not sure which one, I mentioned to you about the last 7-10 day putting the lights to 18-6 to finish up, how it would finish them quicker and stuff. Where your all about $$$$ and weight that might be an experiment for you sometime. I follow the 18-6 period up with at least a 24 hour dark period before harvest. I've known and done this for many years but it was interesting hearing Rasta talk about it. He talks about it from the 15 minute mark on.

What podcast is that from????? Youtube won't let me play the video.

But to answer your question, I typically cut back the on light time an hour or two. If I'm reading it right, you are saying leave the lights on 18 hours and off 6 the last week or so? That's not what I do, I shorten the ON times by an hour or two.

No I can get it play from YouTube here, but yes 18 on 6 off for last week, its his 591 podcast , take a listen, commercial guys do it for weight and a quicker finishing, I follow it up with 24 dark period for terp and flavor

So, lights on in about 10 minutes. I'll post a video and some pics. Bottom line for me is, the Orange Gasm yielded 106 oz and I'm guessing this room will yield about 1 lb less, which takes it to around 90 oz. I will let these go long, probably to 70 days if they remain healthy, as you can impact final weight another 10-15% if you let them really finish out at the end. Now as I've stated, I believe I delayed the onset of deep flowering by doing a heavy defoliation at week 3, WAY TOO LATE. I haven't touched the plants since.

Regarding playing with the light schedule, I've never done that but I'll give it a listen. I imagine it's stressful for the plants to go thru that, and I'm curious what Rasta Jeff has to say about it.

I'll be leaving my guess at 92 oz, and I guess anything can happen this next month or so- more is better of course, but they will have to go thru quite a transformation to reach 100 oz.

I agree 100% on reducing the light which would b more beneficial i think on the trichome production and even lesser light intensity.i been waiting to see if you was going to pull the average size one out sshz like you did in the orgasm thread..i been thinking of dropping guess to 94..liking one up the back there..is that the bebop beside it..

If we were in week 4, I'd say this will be an incredible room this time. Since we are in week 7, the cola's seem small to me, although there is a nice amount. Enclosed is another video showing them in detail..........

Rasta mentioned about terps as well if most people catch it, most terp are present right before photosynthesis, A lot of people trim under their light, I never, My plants come directly from a dark room or if the light have been just turned on and harvested, I don't harvest plants that been under lights for any amount of time.

I think link above is now working

Everything on that side of the room is Sweet Zombie.......... Bebop will be the next crop in january. I'm also starting to wonder if I'll need more than 10 weeks.......remember I went to 11 weeks with the Orange Gasm Golden Goat pheno's, and they probably still needed more time.

So there you have it, feel free to change you earlier guesses til Saturday.

These girls seem like slooooow bloomers. You must be right about defol delaying them slightly. They look more like week 5 than 7.

Light degrades the THC......I typically chop the plants in a low light setting. I'll get to the video after lunch Dr., i'm curious what he has to say. But I have heard of that 18/6 at the end before but I've never done it.

Yes but were only talking a 7 to 10 day period, and the thing to remember is the plants is getting an using more energy, I know in testing I seen it can actually help raise THC. Never have I seen any testing that showed any noticeable negative affect on THC

I'm just putting this out there for anyone interested and wants to look into it thats it, Like Rasta said this is nothing new especially with the commercial guys, its just been something they never talked about or shared. Thats why it was interesting to see Rasta talk about it.

todays pic’s are thru week 6.........

And yes, I usually reduce light power by 25% to 75% towards the end to mimic the change of the suns angle on the plants, basically less light. It’s just another signal to the plants to finish up.
