Hey guys this is my first post on this forum.

I have a few Cookies & Cream plants by exotic genetics that I cloned from my mother plant.
Once they were rooted, I put them in 70/30 coco/perlite mix. They seemed to do well until they got bigger. I recently checked the roots out and on some plants they were brown.
I got panic and transplanted them into 50/50 coco perlite because they were fully rooted out. Now they are in 1gal fabric pots with 50/50 coco perlite. I still watered everyday and now
the main rootball is brown and rotten but there are white roots coming out of it. I use southern ag and enzymes. Feeding ghe flora series. Ph 5.8.

LED's put out alot less heat compared to HID's, so that might have something to do with how frequent you need to irrigate, along with many other factors that were mentioned by Aqua.

I have your answer maybe. If the bottom of the pot was too acidic your roots may have tied back. I see no rot but I do see no root hairs.
You can always cut that part off and add mycorrhiza and add long as your in veg they should grow back but be warned it may kill your plant but it’s only not been successful one time out of about 30 plants. Lol it was an experiment not cause it had root rot. Lol

So I cant water everyday. Its just now working for me. If i keep the coco too wet for too long my roots suffocate and die. Even in 50/50 coco perlite. I dont know what to do anymore. They are yellowing out from the top. :(

I had 3 that were badly yellowing. I had to back off to watering every 3rd day for like 3 weeks. Then went to every other day with no plans to water daily. 2 weeks later the pots were light after 1 day. The plants were big and healthy enough to thrive on daily watering.

The plants will tell you when they will do best with daily watering.

Should have taken pictures when these were sick. I was hoping just to get them healthy enough to take cuttings. And now they look like this -

P3160036

Green Crack strain @ day 23 of 12 hour light. 50/50 coco perlite. Watered daily @ EC 1.1 PH 6 to 6.5 Guess they are too big. Oh well, I left in Veg too long trying to get them health.

Give less water if your doing it everyday. You don’t need to completely saturate it every time. Let the plants tell you when they need more.

I started watering everyday now. They seem to drink more now. However the coco still is pretty wet when I am watering. I am worried that all of that shit starts over. I'll watch it and maybe try what realizedreal3000 said only with daily watering (i was watering every 48h until now). My plants look unhealthy :(

I'm letting them dry more again. i get that coco does not hold nutrients very well. i think my plants are starving for food after 24h but i can't water everyday maybe due to high humidity and low temps about 21C lights on and 19C lights off. 75% humidity
can't i just raise the ec so the food lasts for 48 or more hours?

sorry i am really new to coco

You know what I thought might help you. Next time before you transplant, try some mycorrhiza. Just sprinkle it on the roots. Then place em in new containers.
