I can't find anything online about this. I am getting purple tips now. I know I have nitrogen toxicity I am doing a flush in a couple days with the correct pH. It wasn't 69° in the grow tent but I have been having problems keeping it higher then 70 degrees in there. Could that be it. This just started when it starting getting colder out.

but I was curious what this is.

Looks like you are overwatering, are you letting them dry out between waterings? The purple could be cold night temps preventing phosphorous uptake.
No at first I was underwatering. But I wait until the pot feels real light. About every 3-4 days I give a gallon or so. It's in a 5 gallon pot. That's what I was thinking though. Must be getting around 65 at night.

60’s, even 70 is to cold for your high temps, can cause root problems, especially with young plants. 60’s for night time is ok. I had to add heat.
My high temps during the day are around 70-72. But I'm guessing at night maybe around 65. This plant is around 2 and a half months old.

From what I read in growing blogs the purple is the cold at night that is how some strains are turned to purps id by temp lowering.
Might just let it turn to purp. Don't have room for a heater because it's a very small grow tent. Only 3x3. It's not getting any less then 65-67 at night. But during lights on it's always 70-71.

Anthrocyanin. It is what makes the plant change color. It's natural and its brought on by cold temps.
Even the stems are purple. But they've always kinda been purple. Even when it has been 75° thanks for the info!

Might need to get a heater and run a small duct inside the tent. It's always been 75-80 but the last couple weeks since the cold weather hit I can't get it to stay above 71
hps is cheap and make great buds.

75 during lights on and 65 lights off are the best temps for growing. You can vary 4 or 5 degrees either way but try and stay below 80.

purple leaves can potentially be sign of phosphorus deficiency too. is it only older growth that's turning purple?

Possible, but unlikely. Especially as the rest of the plant is fine and does not show any lack.

it was just a thought. I definitely wasn't offering certainty. Where it shows up on the plant is always something to think about. If it were a plant response to temperature you would expect it to be fairly widespread whereas if it was only on older growth it could be a sign the plant was moving something. Just trying to help him narrow it down and learn like everybody else. He said his tent only dropped to 70 which is not even remotely cold tbh

Yeah. Temps are strain dependent also. I have no idea what he's growing. I just look at the plants, not the lineage for diagnosis.

Whether there are visible signs or not, I think it's well worth checking the plant for mites, just as a precaution.

They could be anything and likely nothing, but what are those white specks on the leaves in picture 3, between the leaf veins?

Those look like the start of trichs. It is in flower already.
