Gooooood Evening -

Just got some clones last week. All I've done since receiving is transplant into 1 gal pots and hit with a little water ph'd @ 6.0.

They're under fluorescent T5's temp low 70's. Any idea what could be going on?

The clones come from spider mite infested plants, if they got rid of them, I don’t know. I’d be looking at underside of leaves.

Low humidity could do that. Especially to clones. Clones are more sensitive to humidity. If you want one to raise the tent humidity the equate humidifier from walmart works but it has to be in the tent.

Get clones from reputable people. Always quarantine your clones with a proper IPM when bringing into your grow room. 7 times outta 10, most clones come with some hitchhikers.. if the new growth is coming in all twisted and weird looking, scope for mites. Need a 10-60x magnifying glass.

I put a handheld microscope underneath the leaves of these and haven't been able to find any mites or anything. Any suggestions on actually finding the mites, i've never really 'scouted' for mites before so not real sure here.

Two days ago i hammered these with athena IPM @ the prevention strength recommendation. Someone also mentioned a sulfer spray.

Two main questions:
1) best way to continue to look for mites. Are there certain leaves / times of the day / anything to have a better chance at actually seeing the mites?
2) any other advice to getting rid of and prevention.

Thanks!

I am not seeing mite damage. Let them grow some before you hit them with an IPM. Small clones are pretty delicate. If say for example you had them exposed to direct sunlight while driving home that is enough to damage the leaves and cause some burn. Once they are about 2 week at home they should really start to take off

hmm, maybe a couple minutes in colder temps could've done it??

It just seems like there are almost bites (look similar to say like a caterpillar) so seems like it would have to be some type of pest. Thats coming from a very inexperienced grower though. All knowledge and information is greatly appreciated!

Probably your issue clones are sensitive and will inevitably get worse when in low humidity.
Makes sense, I've had issues in there before and haven't been able to much fix the humidity so will go ahead and pull the trigger on a humidifier.

What humidity would you run young clones / veg in general?

Thanks for the input!!

takes a couple weeks to come back from humidity shock. shoot if you have access to more clones just grab new ones.
