Day 28 Flower-

#spiderfarmer grow diary competition entry #SFgrow

End of week 4 today and will start dropping humidity and temps even more for the next 5 weeks.

I also will be extending my dark period by an extra hour so I’m adjusting my timers for 11/13 for the remainder of the grow cycle.

SDs are much further along and by the looks and progression will most likely finish first, but who knows things could always change.

Day 31 flower-

Yesterday was watering day but didn’t like the sad wilt for pics

The BBWW in the lower left is really slow at trichome production but is spitting out hairs like no one’s business.

SDs fade and trichome production is amazing, I love their look and growing style. They had the perfect stretch, but are finicky with lighting and nutrients.

Extending the dark period? is that something you've learned from someone here?. I was told by a pro grower that at the end of their life cycle (last 7 - 10 days) that we can increase the hours but we need to decrease the intensity to get the most out of our girls. He said we can increase up to 18hrs of light @ around 50% power to increase the size of under performing plants. I've done it but it was hard for me to tell if they got any bigger because of it or not with nothing to compare to but it didn't hurt them at all and they finished well........He said just keep an eye on them for any signs of revegging around 7 days...that's why the 7-10 window.

I did that on my last grow just because that’s what nature does. It probably doesn’t do anything significant, but I doubt it hurt anything either.

Edit: misunderstood. I thought you meant the gradual change to darkness, not extending the dark period.

For sure man, you have more experience than me and your results speak for themselves. I’m all about experiments and this is one for me that I’m all about testing. I haven’t seen or read enough bad results come from this that have steered me from trying this.

I hear you its all an experiment. I get into bad habits and I do things backasswards a lot. I'm just sittin here sat noonish now smokin, readin, feeding my girls, smoking, watering, clipping, smoking...oh and coffee I needs my coffee. Still got a bug in me so less smoke more liquids should be the order of the day but I likes my smoke.

Day 32 flowering -

Removed dead fan leaves on all 4 and a couple of lower leaves that were on their way.

Honestly not too impressed with the BBWW on the bottom left, she just isn’t filling in and almost looks stalled. I’m hoping it’s just the pheno and will start showing some better progression. I’ve come to the understanding that harvesting all 4 of these at the same time is out of the picture. So I’m really going to need to get my drying area committed with my AC soon.

Personally i dont like harvesting an entire tent at once. Makes more work for myself. Id rather harvest one every 7-10 days then i only have 1 plant at a time to trim.

It takes me 2-3 days just to trim one up.....but I only do a few minutes at a time. I found for me anyways I've been pulling 1 out and putting it on a bench in my shop. I then pull all of the long stemmed leaves off by hand...whew 15 min work,,,,,,rest smoke,,,,,that's enough for 1 day.......let it sit on my bench while I ponder......smoke one....

Next day smoke, ponder some more then grab some scissors and do some trimming.......30 - 60 min its done.....smoke one...ponder some more.....next day hang it whole in my 3x3 with a small fan blowing low and humidifier set at 60% with a small 12v extractor fan.. Grab another and put it on my bench. I still have a Gelato hanging in there I've been too lazy to jar almost 3 weeks now........It might get used for coco nut oil .

Looking good! I bet the BBWW will be fantastic, I grew both a Blueberry and a White Widow this past year and it's one of my favorite mixes to smoke later in the day, makes a really unique flavor and a great relaxing happy buzz that helps me sleep, can't wait for your smoke report!

Yeah i get that way too. Trim for 15 minutes call it a day. I just finished trimming up 3 ounces from 2 harvests ago. Found it in the back of my closet in a bag totally untrimmed, dry as dust, gonna be harsh lol.

I like y’all’s ideas lol just gonna smoke and take my time. They’re a pretty good size, I’m hoping to get a good yield to get me by for a bit!

Thank you so much TSD! I’m really excited to try both of these but the BBWW I am really excited because it’s 2 of my favorite strains! They grow really well indoors with very little to no stretch.
