We can get very high speed but with small objects and using gravity from plants to slingshot it, sending a space craft is a whole different monster but I believe we are not far away from being able to go to another star. Going to Mars is totally doable and has been for years but at the same time is very risky. But so was going to the mon and we did it. I agree, if more money was spent in space and technology we would be more advnaced cause the technology for a solar system scale is already there. Intelligente is related to technology in 2 things:That's what we use the warpspeed for man! Also, it's our technology not our intelligence that needs to be developed. The path is out there there are countless papers on how to space travel and the tech is out there it's just a matter of putting it all together that seems to stop us from going further. Or a bunch of science haters that don't want to spend the money on r&d. Btw they've created embryonic sacs now. My theory has become more plausible the more science is done.

I like to be optimistic about the future of our race, unless we get wiped out first. Looking at history we can see how much we have evolved in terms of society and the same it happened with technology (in 200 years we have advanced more than in 299800 years) will happen with society. The internet is a bit contributor to this factor because the truth always comes out, but when you have the whole human race connected it happens faster. As I said, big changes come with chaos before order. We also struggle to find the balance, if we go too far right we overcompensate by going too far left next, but little by little we are calibratin.
