Yea we are inland so didn't get the real brunt of it. The first night I thought we were gonna have a damn tornado it got dark and lightning and thunder all of a sudden I was like fuck this reminds me of Texas and I unlocked my basement in case I needed to go down there 😂

Yeah. I’m still blown away at how lost that hurricane was, like a lost kid in a plane terminal. I was looking over the Texas farmers almanac, along with the worst summer on record, it’s also supposed to be the worst winter. So I’m thinking about constructing some bolt down concrete pads for my generators, build a couple of small airflow boxes they can permanently live in. Winter power outages equals certain death if the winter is in full swing here….

Sounds like it's gonna be a rough one down there. Battening down the hatches time. 😂 every winter I was down there it snowed. And that wasn't normal in Austin then

I saved a snowball I made in my front yard for like 4 years. It’s very rare. But it’s happening more and more. I’d rather DFW get the bad weather. I love Austin.

Well, the main HAARP array IS in Alaska.....
HAARP is so 2000 🤣

It's all about the NEXRAD radars, now. They spent billions of dollars upgrading the network across the US in 2013 and they are like mini-haarp arrays spread across the country like spiderwebs. Look 'em up, they're everywhere.

Can't be as bad as Chicago area, but again down South they lack the infrastructure to deal with snow and winter weather. I remember one time when I was visiting a friend in Atlanta, and it snowed half an inch. They had to shut down the entire city, pretty much. Everything was closed, people started driving 5 mph everywhere, because they don't have snow plows and nobody knows how to drive in the snow 🤣

I remember back in 98 we had a bad blizzard in Chicago area and we were without power for a week! I think that was the worst blizzard we had in that region in a long time, and haven't had one quite as bad, since, either. Probably about due for another one.

cool af that 68 mustang does look nice af
Dudes name is roger, we end up parked next to each other a lot, ran that car like 30 times over the years, his wife drives half the time, only time I’ve ever lost to that car his old lady was driving. She’s a beast on the tree. Cool folks.

Blizzard of 94 in Philly was bad, we still drove In it though, wheel cut all the way to the right, in third, driving sideways up hill! I always snicker when places that don’t normally get snow, get some, they all turn into fawns on the ice 😂

Now here in Colorado Springs vicinity, ever since 2009 when 4th Infantry Division moved out of Texas to Fort Carson, Colorado, the roads have been mayhem in the wintertime. All these Texans flooded Colorado Springs and NONE of them know how to drive in snow.

They're either A) driving WAY too fast or B) driving slower than molasses in January. And almost always cause accidents.

It was like that when I attended college at WyoTech back in 2004, too. Laramie, Wyoming. Kids came from all over the country to go to that school, and a lot of them were from down South and had no clue how to drive in snow. One of my favorite things to do in Laramie, Wyoming in the wintertime is to sit at the intersection of 3rd and Grand and just smoke a doobie and watch. You'll see 10 accidents in the span of an hour 🤣

Dallas is awful like that.....
You ain’t lying bro, #1 whoever designed the freeway system for Dallas needs to be drug into the street and blown away. I legitimately hate driving in Dallas almost as much as, if not more than La. #2 they all suck at wintertime driving.

Man your taking me back, there was a stretch of road I grew up by, from the north I huge hill into a valley, from the south, another huge hill into that same valley, cars would try to go in Borge directions, maybe make it a 1/2 mile up, then lose purchase and start sliding back into the valley. It was a fucking riot to watch. Many accidents, cars pushing each other through guard rails. None better entertainment wise…..

Worst place to drive that I ever lived in was New Orleans......
Agreed, due to parish laws, the road get crazy neglected there. The only thing they maintain is the achafaliya bridge that’s like 10 miles long. Other than that, that state is all tire killer.

NOLA roads bad,drivers worse.....
Louisiana had the worst roads I've ever seen in my life. I was stationed there when I was in the Army at Fort Polk. All I remember about the roads down there was how many potholes there were. It was insane. It looked worse than a field of prairie dogs, for real. Talk about the shittiest duty station in the entire military. Fort Polk and Leesville suck ass!
