I’m an everything person. 2 dogs, 2 cats, a snake and a crotchety old dragon. My life wouldn’t be the same without them all staring at me wanting shit. if I could have elephants I would…..monkeys too. I am ridiculous

The goal is to keep taking on as many animals as possible! As many as I can, sheep goats pigs cows everything. And oh to be able to rescue an elephant from some hellish circus or zoo…

Currently, I only have one dog and a horse. And I’m really into the birds who have come back now that my cat is gone. My dog was too traumatized by the abuse he endured for the first three years of his life for me to feel ok about rescuing a second one for awhile. He suffered if I even looked at another dog. His name is Percival, for obvious reasons.

So, roscoe beans. My Aussie, found him running across a state highway a tiny little furball is all I saw, a turned on the hazards blocked the oncoming lanes, and put him in my jacket and rolled home. about a month later, around the corner from my house, I find the black lab zig zagging in the street, limping, she has a messed up back leg, she got hit that morning. Swooped her up, tossed her soggy ass in the ram and took her in. No chip. The rest is history. No chip in the Aussie either. Which, I fell in love with him quick, and I was almost certain he was gonna have one. He didn’t. I felt like I dodged a hail of gunfire, and split outta there so quick heads were spinning. Both Rufus and Felix are adopted rescues, we would have more, but the state limits households to 2 adopted pets a house on record. So we are stuck with the fur bags we have. They’ll do. I like anyways but rescuing is 100% the way to go if you can. Mutts are smarter anyways 9 times out of 10.
