First plant, near harvest problem???

First plant near harvest problem

First time grower, one indica clone (all or nothing!). Babied this giy and looking pretty goid but some yellowing leaf edges got me confused - over watering, under, over nuts, under..??? Now about 1/8 of the cola tops are drying crisp, sugar leaves, but rest look okay. Outdoor pot, Cali sunshine…is it harvest time???

Hi, Yes looks like you over fed them a while back. What are you feeding? NPK
What are they planted in?
These plants have a month to go they are just getting started.

i think she looks hungry and possibly over watered with maybe a hint of a ph issue.

Do you let her sit in runoff when you water or does the saucer under her have drain holes?

Thank you! swirched from MGro normal to MGro flowering solubles when flowering clearly was starting. Planted in 7 G black pot with MGro soil, always has seemed to drain very well. Id agree just from mostly white pistils maybe not ready but seems like 8 weeeks already since flowering started, and with a few colas seeeming maybe a little fungus’y im just slightly worried it might go bust

Pot has plenty drain cut outs and if saucer fills up i immediately dump it, so if anything i worry it may tend to dry out. But that may mean im overcompensating with watering too…! I was doing medium watering every 2-3 days but since the brown leaf edges increased to almost daily, swapping with nutrients then plain water…

Could possibly be indicative of some bud rot. or caterpillar action. If the brown leaves pull out with little or no resistance bend the bud and take a look in that area and see if you have some brown mushy material in there. Just taking a guess. But worth looking at.

Thanks! Hard to say (first grow not sure how mushy normal flower is), but no obvious brown mush. But California has been more humid than usual, not super hot, so i am leaning toward some limited fungus/rot. Maybe i should cut some of the browning flower off to limit spread? Definitely will be happy to see more color on pistils soon and chop this guy - already smells strong and fantastic for what that’s worth

Yellowing leaves because of lack of nitrogen past mid of flower is normal. Plant doesnt need much of it, key is PK.

But yellowing sugar leaves shouldn’t be normal unless it’s right at the end! Just an opinion! Especially if it is localized!

I don’t like the looks of the first pic. Grab those brown leaves and pull them out and see if they come out easy. Should remove them anyway. If they’re healthy, you’re really have to tug.

Yeah they come out easily and yeah i feel temoving most all of this (and otner if found) bad flowers is maybe best next step. just wish there was a sure way to diagnose cause. any thoughts on taking pot inside by window - morre comtrolled temp/humidity but significantly less rays

I never like giving them less light! I think it’s counterproductive. If you’re down around San Jose, you’re going to get that marine layer coming in every night and giving you problems. Just no way around it. A patch of brown sugar leaves in the middle of healthy sugar leaves is never good. at least now you know what to look for. And all you can do is cut it out. If you want to try moving them in go for it. That part is up to you. If you cut that butt off, take a good look at it and see if you can see the rot . You might even find a caterpillar in there.
