People are using the corn as a colonization medium for the mycelium. Instead of rye they are using corn. Not the best imo. Rye berries is where it’s at. And sterilized bulk substrate (manure) mixed for a healthy colony.
It’s incredibly hard to come by here, with all of the Native American church regulations there are, they have mostly been picked dry, so it has been up to the churches to grow their own sacrament here. It drives me crazy that the fed had to watchdog them. It pisses me off to no end. And yes, last time I ate a button, I was dosed to the gills for 36 hour peak it seemed like. Truly some reality bending stuff. The Native American community knows what the hell they are doing…..

You do have to buy them unless you can get your hands on spore prints. Then you can just suck that up into a sterile hypo with distilled water, then inoculate your sterile grain.
