try get a little runoff off next time it happens, so far they look good i wouldnt mess with them haha. say 6.2 water going in and see if it raises or drops from the run off sample. then you should get a idea if its raising or lowering ph of the medium if that helps.Another key factor is previous plant I had lock out same time frame. It didn't really start growing quickly again. That one same strain as least one harvested at day 88. (But I did have a power outage on that grow so kinda messed up my tests) this last plant started growing again when I changed nutes, and I am harvesting on day 67. So new nutes seems to have made the growth restart but still deficiency got worse and worse. Leaves were just tapered back at the end. This next grow should give me better data
I agree it is something I will be looking at after this test if issue continues. The buffer promix uses is limestone, this is because it's in peet moss and peet moss has a 3-5 pH value. So they buffer it to raise the PH. If the buffer is fading, I would assume the pH would reduce. Water is always ph'ed to 5.8-6.2. so kinda weird that the pH is high.
no worries bud.@Itscheese94 I appreciate the help and knowledge you provide. Thanks bro.
pH is going in usually at 6.0 and is coming out at 7.5 ish. But the soil pH is 7.0try get a little runoff off next time it happens, so far they look good i wouldnt mess with them haha. say 6.2 water going in and see if it raises or drops from the run off sample. then you should get a idea if its raising or lowering ph of the medium if that helps.![]()
when it start happening the lock out if does again, test the soil ph then. then you should get a idea of what to ph going in if that makes sense. then you could rule out if its that causing the problem bud.Well I am testing the media with a soil tester. It's raising it.
I have done this 3 times so far, when I start the soil pH is at 6.5, then slowly it raises to 7.0 and stays steady at 7.0 this happens before veg is done. I have vegged 30 days, 45 days, and 60 days. Lock out always happens 25-45 day in flower. When the lock out happens it is still steady at the 7.0 and does not change.when it start happening the lock out if does again, test the soil ph then. then you should get a idea of what to ph going in if that makes sense. then you could rule that out if its not that causing the problem bud.
yeh so maybe after a month from potting up, when you switch to flower ph in the soil rises, there fore locking certain nutrients out even if your giving them. kinda make sensepH is going in usually at 6.0 and is coming out at 7.5 ish. But the soil pH is 7.0
I honestly think it's the nutes, will know more soon. Got a good test running now, results will give me a lot more info.yeh so maybe after a month from potting up, when you switch to flower ph in the soil rises, there fore locking certain nutrients out even if your giving them. kinda make sense
You will get plenty of help here, these Farm growers are great.I honestly think it's the nutes, will know more soon. Got a good test running now, results will give me a lot more info.
also bud certain nutrients can raise ph certain lower. for instance pk boost always raises for me calmag drops ph.I honestly think it's the nutes, will know more soon. Got a good test running now, results will give me a lot more info.
I've gotten good and bad advice here, but everyone is trying to be very helpful. It has gotten me this far and has helped me learn the tests I need to do to eliminate possible faults. You will get plenty of help here, these Farm growers are great.
Yeah running 8 different bottles of nutes with fox farm and you learn that quickly lol. I'm going to stop pH'ing in promix doesn't matter what I put in doesn't change the media pH. It's the alkaline in the water source that's raising the pH that 0.5 that I see in veg. But it stabilizes at 7 and that might be too high causing secondary nutes to lock out when the plant needs it for swelling the buds.also bud certain nutrients can raise ph certain lower. for instance pk boost always raises for me calmag drops ph.
