its suppose to snow here in Alabama tomorrow. life stops when a flurry happens around here. grocery store gets raided by every person in town. impossible to drive bc every adult in the county turns into uneducated drivers as soon as they smell a snowflake lol. but hey i might get a day off work

i chopped that small auto that was stunted so bad it had 1 big top on it. the stalk was hard/dry as a bone. not sure if the stalk is suppose to be that hard. im sure the light stress and over feeding probably had a lot to do with it. lesson learned. on to bigger and better things

I hadn't delt with many folks outside my small circle but I had these ladies at a house to bid on a paint job. Long story short, she tells me Okie is one of her favorites but doesn't see it often.....but we get to every day don't we Capt! Nice work as all ways bro!
Thanks buddy! I have 4 other okie crosses going now too. I’m a fan. Trop cookies, grape cake and lemon tree besides the cman. It’s really going to stay in my rotation for a while!!!

Man gonna have to roll one of these up now! Do any of your okie cman branches bend or break? My pheno has never and without support.
I did have to stake a few 4ft stalks, but besides that, one of the strongest canopies I have ever built. Badass genetics in that regard.

It was the absurd amount of vegetation on this plant in particular, waaaaay too many small leaves to be fighting with each one. I’m good on that. But I dry trim plants that aren’t crazy leafy is all.
IMO to dry trim strains like these you have to over dry them so you can just run one blade down the bud and knock the leaves off. Lose a lot of trichomes this way though.
Wet trim always been my favorite just sucks when it takes many days to get the room down compared to de fanning and chopping everything at once.

I would have to agree with this sentiment.
The pbb is waaay easier to deal with in that regard over the okie cross. De-fan and like you said, just graze the cola a bit. Certain plants just needs wet trim imo. I also like to dry with more leaf matter on stalk to tighten loose-ish colas if they need it. It’s a plant by plant thing really……

So with the crazy weather a couple fellas here reminded me about when Texas froze in 21’
Here’s some pictures of some plants that got nailed by that freeze. They didn’t exhibit any outward signs of the stress until it hit mid 40s consistently. Thanks for reminding me @budsofgeorgia and @GNick55
Just in case I figured to post if a shit storm lands at your door.

Sexy stuff right there Captain!!

I’m any day away now until my first harvest :))

Planning to wait until I see about 15% amber on the calyxes, but would not mind hearing opinions on that ;)
That’s when I chop too…..
Do you look at the calyx when checking trichomes? 🧐
Are yellowed calyxes also sign of matured plants?

No I don’t check the calyx. I just break out my 80x jewelers eye and check for 15% amber coverage. It can be a sign of a mature plant yes. It can also be a sign you are over ripe. It’s a strain dependent thing.

I guess those weren’t any of the 500 plants to get moved? I don’t watch the news. Didn’t see it coming. It was like 28 in the southwest desert. I already stated my heat pump froze. In retrospect I probably should’ve had the humidifier off. Only got down to 65 (64.8). Are you out of the water yet? We had freezing temps for about 4 days I think.

It’s just swinging in. Last night was frigid. Today cold. The hard freeze still has to show up……😤
