I'm spiritual I don't practice religion. I speak directly to the Almighty like the crazy Irish man on brave heart. I've been blessed by the Lord. I've been fucked over by the Lord. I know nothing about my native American spiritual beliefs. I grew up in the cities. I like respecting the earth and elders. I've had some exposure to the older ways from my older uncles. God taught me how to live like that. My parents taught me how to sell drugs and get violent. My family glorified the drug dealers in our family. My uncle used all us young guys to sell meth and collect on debts for him. I love my uncle and he is the most Indian man I've ever met but I seen how his help hurts us. He gains we do all the work and do all the jail time. God helped me see what family is really about. I don't accosiate with them anymore. I talk to my mom periodically but she's stuck in her ways. Never gonna give up the drug lifestyle. All my brothers are in prison or heading there. I'm the only one living a somewhat decent life.

And brother, that makes me smile. Some times it’s great being the example, you have a good head about it and I would break bread anytime with ya, have some spirited debates, shit maybe change a mind a bit, maybe not.
But if folks could just have a conversation without killing each other, like we are now, the world would be a vastly better place. The more we learn from each other, even down to the eccentric ways of every individual, we could all at least be looking in the same direction. My family was absolutely chaos, I get told I should write a book all the time, because it definitely gets interesting. But as long as you aren’t a product of a bad environment because you made the conscious decision based on your connection with god, then well Godspeed. Because if there is one thing sure of, is that mental health is mental wealth. Keep it pure pops!
