what’s up good folks of the forum!? How’s it going?

I have a question about multi meters: can I use (what seems to be the only available options other than 100 amp) 10amp multi meter for checking my 15 or possibly 20 amp plugs around my room? I’m safe enough around electrical to not kill myself or start any fires but do not understand the multi meter being rated for 10 amps and all the house hold plugs being 10 or 15.

EDIT: I dont want to let the smoke out of the meter
