Sorry jumping back in late but I’m in on this Blueberry discussion! Mine are starting their 3rd summer from bareroot, same with the 4 raspberry plants that have turned into massive, no steroid bushes in that time, but you can see the blueberry plants have barely bushed at all, I cut back the raspberries today to give the blues some more sunlight to the stalks, 2 of 4 have put off a 2nd chute from the base that are bearing fruit but how the hell do I get them to bush out heavy? I figured they’d be 3-4x the size by now, thought they’d be fine soil wise as the raspberries have gone bezerk right next to them, what’s best to feed to the blueberry plants? Organic preferred but I gotta get these girls growin!

We have tiny blueberry bushes I don't think they like the spot, however evergreen red raspberries, black raspberries have big bushes in the yard. The damn black raspberries are all in the woods and everywhere you look.

Blueberries are more fussy about the soil ph than raspberries. Not that you have any issue with that necessarily. Either way, even under ideal conditions, blueberries simply grow much slower than raspberries.

Was wondering the same, I top the tips of my fruit trees in the fall, but never touch the raspberries blueberries or strawberries

I take runners off my strawberries, and my wife was saying you cut some off the raspberries in the fall, same with the fruit trees : ) the blue berries are my wife’s, so naturally I have cared for them from the beginning (not well at that). ill do some blueberry research
