I have posted twice in general growing info forum, but have quickly realized, it makes more sense to have everything together.

1st post:
Thread 'Introducing myself with a few questions.' https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/introducing-myself-with-a-few-questions.159377/

2nd post:
Thread 'First time from seed, Rockstar strain, need some input on NPK, how often, and watering info' https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/f...ut-on-npk-how-often-and-watering-info.160663/

Strain: Rockstar (Photoperiod. started 8, 4 survived, one is very tiny, don't have it in the photos or near the others.) Started 5/1/24

Growing medium: Happy Frog for seedlings. Uppotting with Ocean Floor, will be adding mycorrhizal fungus and worm castings too. Will get lighter colored pots or paint the ones I have becse they are black.

Watering: As needed. When pots feel light. I'd rather my plants be a little thirsty than overwatered.

Nutes: Started with comfrey tea and fish emulsion. Used fox farms Grow Big at half strength on 6/20. Will continue this weekly, unless a problem occurs. I was unsure what nutes to use and also very leary of synthetic nutes. Hopefully, what I got is fine. I've read a lot of complaints on here abt FF, but these were already ordered.

Weather has been awful. I'm in the midwest and it's been extremely hot with no rain and high humidity. We got a break today from the heat/humidity and finally got some rain, but not enough to fill rain barrels. Plants aren't stressed.

Trying to figure out if I have males or females. It is pretty hard to get my camera to pick up these fine details.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

All of them?

I was way off then. I thought all female except possibly A.

Thanks

Here's better pics. Is it too late for me to start more? I'm in zone 6. Because after these photos, I feel like your first guess was correct.

C: probably female.

B: i want so say male but not sure.
Which shape do they look like in the pic? Do they have a little stem or they directly attached to the node?

IMG 9586

I have to be honest tho. I can say one thing and they can turn out to be completely different. The only way to know for sure is for more time to elapse. Once they notice a change in daylight they will start showing. I misjudged a sherbadough just the other week that i thought was a male. Turned out to be female and i kicked out my best plant. Thank god i didnt cull it

Looks directly attached to the stem. Shining a flashlight on them and they all look male to me now.

I'll wait and won't cull anything yet (obviously), but I am starting more. I just worry about my fall weather.

Thank you again for you help and sharing your knowledge/experience. Much appreciated.

Growing from seed is somewhat stressful, but someone dumped an auto flower over here after they burnt it with nutes and I'm not sure I'd be a fan of them. Clones can be iffy with pest and such. I'm going to stick with seeds and just start 4 times the amount I want to grow, I guess. Not sure what else to do.

I doubt theyre all male. Directly attached to stem is good.

Post a pic of the pack you bought or the breeder and strain. Id ask to post a link but not sure if theyre allowed

My opinion, leave em alone completely until you see them BLOOOOM with either nuts or hairs. straight up. otherwise you would be running into hermaphrodite issues. unless that whats ur into 😉

I didn't this year because I was giving these seeds in a trade (I've watched this strain grow with them for years). My brother purchased fems online last year and they were full of seeds. I wasn't sure what happened, but I didn't feel like dealing with that type of mess. After doing some research, I don't think his were actually true fems.

I will look into it, but I need a reputable seller for fems.

its as simple as if they femmed em or not, dont overcomplicate it. thats fucked up lmao

Lmmfao. It isn't what I'm into, but I don't kink shame.

Okay. Okay. I am not touching them. I am starting more though.

Not sure if the flashlight was playing tricks on my eyes or what, but I went from almost certainly that they were females to not having a clue and swearing I can see testies.

yeah just dont trip too hard on em and youll get it .

I overcomplicate most things or what others perceive as overcomplicate. I just need all the details for a clear understanding. :)

Not sure if it is still too soon to sex, but I'm putting these photos here. I keep going back and forth with what I think they are.

Also, I'm including photos of the autoflower that was dropped off here. It came to me in this condition, maybe even worse. I changed the soil (ocean forest) and tried to flush it. You can tell it's burnt from nutes. I haven't given it any, but I do think it needs some becse of the stage it is in. I haven't been able to get any viable leaves off of it to clone, clearly. If nothing can be done, that is fine too. Just want to help the poor thing if possible. I have no knowledge of this plant. (Strain, soil, nutes, etc.)

Thanks in advance for you help.
