I really ended up way worse than every meteorologist in th us got it wrong. Wasn’t prepared to have the storm deviate so hard from projections. Flat footed for sure. Thanks man hopefully beryls left over are bitch made.

i looked to see where the leftovers were headed. Gulf hurricanes like to flood out tennessee and kentucky and stuff. Dodged this one, but like 3" of rain and lots of wind is headed straight up through to our friends in the midwest and southern michigan

Guys i got a drying question
I recently bought a wine cooler for drying and
Its running constantly 15celcius and high 60s RH
I wet trimmed some weed and dried it took about 10 days

now im drying some buds inside there
Theyre not trimmed they feel pretty squishy not smelling much they have hanged in there for 2 weeks today
And stems are soft
Like theyre just being preserved and not dried tho i do realise they have shrunken in size
And just to point out there is no signs of mold or bacterial growth in there or smell only weed smell

And just to point out that this is really good weed its dense its grown in DWC its coated in trichomes and sticky asf and the smoke is smoother than smoking cigarrettes from a regular smokers perspective ofc

Ive never heard of drying this way, but im curious. If it wont quite get there and has been 2 weeks, then id say pull it out into the ac and hang it up for a night or two and check it. Idk though, never once dried cannabis in a wine cooler, im just giving a response because i think this got overlooked lmao. I did.

Unless your township has it out for them, and having pigs with in town limits. There’s all types of hubbub about it now, they are trying to make it a ballot initiative. My roof is perfect for it. My town? Well, 60% of the folks that live here, all work at the refinery 10 minutes from here, it’s almost like it has been kept off the ballot for some reason.

No problem don’t need gas or electric can cook right on or in the stoves as needed, my kids never freeze, I have a genny out back if needed but unless it’s for the plants we just ride out the darkness, pre-prepare charge up some power banks for the kids and download them a bunch of shows to the iPads and charge up the switches etc and there good for days off hotdogs over th fire and whatever we need to heat up on top

Fuck energy companies and the politicians they donate to, to vote in their favor of profits

Buy those shits outta state and install your own get enough for 2-3k watts and start bankin lol

I got closet and the router on UPC's, and the few times the power has gone out this spring, i didnt even need to wait for the router to reset and the plants saw no darkness by the time i kicked on the generator

I got a portable AC for the growing space/room

I think i could get about 6-8 mins of time for the closet on it's UPC, and prob about an hour for the router.

if using straight peat make sure you use plenty of perlite. Plants will grow well in peat, but it stifles root development pretty hard.

I use promix BX which has perlite in it, then I add 25%ish petite by volume to that, plants love it. Besides that’s its just my amendments


Since I started growing in just peat and perlite and stopped PHing it’s made a major difference. Currently I’m running I run my full organic mix then using the fox farms micro and bloom at 1/4 dose every every other watering . Normally i don’t use any synthetics but I’m pushing these plants as hard as possible and there loving it lol, but still not PH’ing

I have a non digital soil PH meter I check when watering, it averages just under about 6.7 ish on the dial. As long as I see it bouncing between 6 and 7 I don’t even consider checking input PH, my tap averages 7.3 plus running in peat I know it’ll go a bit more acidic, so I leave it high, whatever my FF brings the Ph down to it is what it is, I let the soil balance it. When I start messing with PH up or down I start running into major problems, I have them, but haven’t touched one in well over a year now

Yeah I have a portable AC as well in my lung room I think about 12,000btu have it set to home comfort, keep the RH about 60% and temps at 72-74f in the lung room , but the doors are open to the 50x40 crawlspace which is where my new mini lab is so it cools that full space too as well as dehumidifies

I have that same predator 4000 without the wheel kit, has about 4 hours of run time on it all from me starting it up for a half hour here and there, never actually needed it, power has always been out less than a half hour, when the power goes out I just open the tent doors if no power in a half hour I’ll fire up the genny

Mainly for the fridges but lights too if needed, if I run them on the genny I’ll put the power dial to minimum on any lights I’m running just to keep light schedule so I can run more home equipment if needed

roots LOVE peat, so long as there is perlite or pumice present lol.


I just thought he meant straight peat. You can do that, i have, you can keep a plant healthy, but i definitely recommend not doing that if you can have perlite or fine pumice in it. lmao. Roots hate straight peat as much as they love it mixed with perlite.


My current mix is basically peat, and perlite. 50/50. Little bit of cheap screened soil. Some handfuls of compost, and a sprinkle or pellet feed full of beneficial bacteria and archaea.

I have to ph my water, but thats because its stinky well water that kills container plants and i have to RO it. Once i add some feed to the RO its like 4.8-5 ph lmao. i just use potassium bicarbonate to bring it back up and let it settle before i use it.

Lol, out here in the sticks of southern appalachia...

I managed to find a compressed bail of peat at a pet store.

I found a mostly full bag of medium perlite in a shed at work. I still havent been able to find any at any stores here, and closest hydro store is like an hour away lol. I baked it in the oven before i used it too. This shit could be a decade old idk.

Shipping charges for stuff that takes up that much space out here is absurd too. And amazon only guarantees 3 day delivery with prime too lmao.

Im not sure what im going to do when the perlite runs out. Thatll happen sometimes this weekend as i up pot all my seedlings and clones.

I do the same, but I still try to keep over all usage down, and another thing about Texas, gas stations getting greedy with price points. And they allow for folks to fill 55g and they turn and sell it at a premium. Like the lights in the grow rooms are just on. And a couple of fans each room. Those are on full tilt boogie though. Deep freeze and refrigerated, I use Drop lights with 50f cables as lightng go where’d you need hang and bring it back. I have 2 of those. This storm took out 5million customers…..

I forget what it was this spring i was upset about taking forever to show, but there was something else. Basically anything i order big here just spins in circles forever before it does anything.
