a long read,.. haha
i finally found this after forgetting and looking on and off for a while.. probably read this 20 times..

a clip from above but a useful one as this argument is tiring,.. View attachment 2215973
Honestly, not even machines, just by watching how some people handle theyre buds it hurts my soul hahaha. Im very picky with that I must admit, and Im glad to see I was somewhat right. Even during hand trimming it says it showed very little evidence (but there was) of damage, you gotta be careful. I wash them and thats totally okay and many people think its not but if youre gentle youre only gonna lose a few pistils.

yes as you start noticing trichomes on the budlets than its hands off,. i’m sooo careful with everything from flowering up until i have those heads into a piece of hashish!,.. you’d be surprised how the slightest bump during drying will knock off the mature heads as they are barely attached to the stalk anymore..
oh i see lots of no no’s on here,,.

Hahaha exactly, you can still detach trichomes if lets say, you wanna do it quick and throw a bunch of buds in the bucket. Probably the friction will make some of them lose their head, but if youre careful is totally okay and youre not gonna lose trichomes.

bud washing with peroxide mix is absolutely fine,..

Yes! I much prefeer that better than baking soda and lemon. Baking soda is great at eliminating dirt but it also leaves residue aswell as the lemon and if you dont rinse them off real good youre gonna smoke it. I still rinse off the ones I wash in hydrogen peroxide but mostly to give a second wash and not have to change my first bucket so often or at all.

I trim when they’re on the branches! As best I can! Try to never handle the bud! And if you’ve ever made hash, it becomes quickly evident that tri-combs, and the resin are not water-soluble! When you try and wash your hands! Lol
I trimmed while still on the branches for the first time last weekend, and I’ve got to say what a difference it made! So much easier on the hands.

And next time you’re trimming a cola Bend it, and pry apart the budlets And dig in there with a Loupe! There is a whole Nother world, that we never even see from the outside! Especially when you inspect them on a growing plant! The outside may look finished, but the inside looks far from it! It’s interesting!

yep i leave plant rooted in bag and start removing fan leaves, not all as i like to have a few to protect the larger buds, than try to cut big branches, too aid in achieving a 2-3 week slow dry to allow the trichome skin? to strengthen before curing,..
doing one branch at a time than removing the branch and carrying it to the drying room to hang,. trying to protect the delicate trichomes. than when all done there’s usually only a trunk left to pick up bag and carry outside,,.

That’s exactly the way I did it 👍

Although I did buy a canna brush, tried it on one bud and it felt too brutal so unless my technique was wrong I won’t use that again
