I tied all my tomato plants up yesterday anticipating the rain. DID NOT realize how much rain there was until I looked at my backyard and saw a river. Was there until it stopped raining. Usually the only time this happens is when in the Spring when the snow melts and the ground is still frozen. So weird. Now everything's drying up. 🙂

Tomorrow will be spray day for bugs and diseases. Michigan State University Extension service says crops are starting to show signs of damage. 🙁
I'm up to twice a week now, a combo of neem and Southern AG fungicide. Fun times😡

I'm already treating for PM every other day to every 3 days already. Citric acid and h202 both. We got a super virulent strain around here that's taking shit out even in the drought. It's so good at leaching moisture from the leaves it's eating holes right through them in a day or two. It's even attacking the poison ivy 0.o

I think the widespread drought encouraged a new virulent PM strain to develop itself.

Personally I think fungi are just fed up with humans and their goings on at this point. Once fungi really turn on something, it's only a matter of time lol.

Yeah my cucurbits are on a downturn, took all the broccoli main heads today, have a bucket full of cucumbers and a ton of zucchini should get another round before they are smoked, I’ll chop em and plant some new seeds

Nature always evolves it waits for no man, all we can do is chase it

I use citric acid as a preventative. Diluted H202 to kill spores/mycelium already there.
I can’t stand PM imo it’s worse than most pests, just watching it attack and hoping what you’re spaying is helping, at least with bugs you can see the infestation die down, with diseases you’re just hoping the progression stops

ive never not been able to kill active PM with an h202 solution. In my experience its one of the easiest things to handle on plants (Ive never grown outdoors in the northeast though lmao). My bane fungal wise is def bud rot lol. It likes to creep around in the unseen lands.

Although, ive also never really had plants as monstrous as i do this season either, let alone had ones this big where i am now lol

PM is very satisfying to spray with an h202 solution, you can watch the mycelium and the spores dissolve and wash away. For me its very satisfying anyway. if you spray with h202, then follow with citric acid it usually wont come back either.

Dipping a harvested branch with a little embedded PM into a bucket of h202 solution, also satisfying, you just watch the PM float away and sizzle on the surface of the solution lol. the flowers usually smoke great after a rise and hanging too.

So yea, said if i didnt get an update today, i was gonna break down and order a tent from Prime.

So what, they wrecked/broke down a truck or something?? lol

Last update before this was a week ago -_- I wouldn't think a "mechanical failure" would take a week to resolve.
