I'm starting to feel a bit like this. I'm gonna need some taller posts myself. And probably 4 more and a taller net too. And a studier ladder to boot.

Top of the closest post is right at 6ft off the ground. Plants over 8 foot as of today. Half Columbian landrace heavily sativa dom. Prob got a good long ways to go yet too. Prob a first frost cut. Idek though, I've cut finished plants this size and pulled 2lbs. Looks like it'll be an easy trim, just a lot of it. 1/14 plants 😐

I know this pain from the past, and will be expecting it even worse then ever this fall 😅😭.

Oh no, it's already May I said. running late I said. Good thing they're tiny little seedlings I stunted in the cold rain was proclaimed. I'll keep em topped and short and net em was the plan.

That'll teach you to plan ahead. 🤣

Damn straight. Been improvising since mid June lmfao

I'm used to throwing out small foot tall or so June clones in the mid west.

Throwing sativa dom F1s from seed out in spring. Whole other world. My biggest outdoor single plant pull to date is close to 2.5lbs from a special queen #1 that was about 6.5 foot tall bush when cut. She was. A lot denser then this tree is, but this thing just won't stop. Haven't fed it in two weeks, has grown over a foot in height and width both. It's running on red clay, sunlight, mimosa roots and well water alone at this point, won't stop. I can let plants get 12ft max where they're at. The thing looks like its starting to grow bark on it's stump and i Might be early harvesting some colas 😳

I wish cannabis was a tree or a perrenial 🤣

Haven't posted here for awhile. Been really busy in studio doing the tedious work of mixing and mastering some songs I've been putting off

Tha last of thr training wheels came off the GDP.

Blueberry Cupcake is bushing nicely. I've seen 3 different mutations in this plant.

Airheadz are getting really tall. One seems to want to branch out more than the other. Might try to take a couple cuts from one.

The canopy is 8+' tall...just for perspective.

The mutant pulled through and still being kinda weird.

The normal Notorious THC is.....well.....slow.....slow to sprout, slow to grow.

And the Guinea Pig is still trying to catch up.

All big interior leaves removed and the canopy is wide open and getting lots of sunshine.

I attempted to build a greenhouse today. We'll see if it's still standing tomorrow. Lol 🤞

my plan for trim jail, is remove fan leaves, and dry before trimming. once its ready use humidifier to keep the room at about 60% and minimal light and airflow while i get it all dry trimmed (hopefully with help) over a period of however long it takes. And fatter colas ill prob fresh trim and theyll end up however they end up

I also have everything from early heavy indicas, to half land race sativas, and what looks like everything in between. Ideally it wont be all at once, hoping i can start harvesting mid to late september, and just get em all down between then and first week november when the frosts come.

Doing sand bags once I'm done working out the puzzle of who is going where. Also i found floating cover by the foot. Might pick some up soon. At the rate they've been growing I might need netting instead. I hate dealing with the stuff at harvest. Added a 24 in. "peak" at each end. Plants are getting so tall that I now have street lights about to come into play for the first time ever. Some shade cloth should take care of that.

Anyone got any guesses on final end height?

She's half Columbian land race that wouldn't be done til well into November, 14+ weeks inside.

She's prob an early November girl.

At least 16 ft.....
I really do thik this would be a 25ft plant if i had never topped her. It's pretty absurd

i got about 12ft to work with. Absolute max 🙃 😎 Tried to slow her down by no longer feeding her, but her root system is just so damn big, with acess to plenty on its own, and she's tangled up in mimosa roots (legumes) so not feeding her isnt really doing much to slow her down either. Light penetrates her so well, she's going to develop all the way down too most likely.

If im standing on the next to highest rung of a 6 foot latter, her tallest point is nearing my nose 😶 She's 11ft wide as of today, bout 8.5ft tall. (the bottom of the ladder sits a ways below the stalk when i use it, because of uneven ground) Im probably going to need a second net layer. And to hell with a ladder I'ma need some scaffolding or something 🤣🤣🤣

Ill def be making S1's with her in the tent for next season. And ill prob put them in ground in June next year, not May

So, I'm seeing first signs today she's gearing up to flower.

I can't let her get taller then 12 ft.

Would you cut the main tips now so she has time to divert some resources around? Or would you wait until she hit 12 foot and cut some early harvest colas for concentrates and risk stressing out the plant?

I'm at a rock and a hard place with that call. First time growing this pheno so I'm pretty clueless how flowering is gonna go. I've had sativa's that stretch to flower and then fill in. I've had sativa's that just kinda creep taller the entire time they flower. And I've had both from this F1 lmao. This one's already bigger then the largest plant I've ever harvested outdoors though. And that plant pulled almost 2 1/2 pounds dry. If I had to early harvest some colas, not that big a deal I don't think. I'll still have more of her buds then anything else.

^Why sad?

This is a great problem to have imho, id rather have a plant too big then too small, at least while im still capable of handling it, it's pretty cool lol 😁 She's half un-tampered columbian land race. No tinkering with the pollen donor, just as it was in columbia, and as it sprouted. And im gonna have a lot of her too. All smiles for me either way.
