Man I've never seen anything like the growth I'm getting this year. In my gardens and cannabis patch both. My wax peppers are like 5. Foot tall. My chilis are like 4. I only have one zucchini plant and I have a pile in the kitchen and some shredded and frozen. I'm freezing tomatoes for sauces later. Only got 4 to ato plants. Should have done 2. Wet cloudy weather be damned by jaws still dropping every time I walk outside. There's mimosas and maples in my yard that sprouted in spring that are like 10 ft tall now 😳

Black oil sunflowers 7ft tall making 2 and 3 heads lol. I wish my own gardens weren't on the front of the house or I'd show em off lmao. Mom overwatered hers into Powdery mildew and alkaline soil oblivion (hard well water) before I could catch it, or I'd still be showing that one off lol.
Yea we can the big tomatoes and freeze the cherry tomatoes whole,

Watering? Haven’t done that really All year lol, just rainwater from a rain once a week and big storm here and there but she’s rockin lol

Sold a lot of the eggplants and zucchini already but there fillin right back in with twice as many per plant , tomatoes were up to our neck in, and the plants are still completely buried 🤣 we love it more we get the more gets sold once we meet our needs for the year of canning and freezing

we had a month long heat wave with like a 1/4 inch of rain. Im guessing she probably hose drenched the raised bed with her super alkaline well water 2-4 times a day. According to the soil meter last time i was there, looking as everything just getting REAL crispy, her soil PH in the raised bed was sitting at nearly 8ph, she read something online that baking soda would fix the fungus too, so she mixed it right up in a jug ofher 8.5ph well water a couple times and watered them with it 🤦‍♂️, she did some heavy miracle grow feedings in there to try and save it too. She didnt wanna ask me because i got mad about her telling my brother about my grow and she thought i was still mad about it.

Its a whole kerfuffle man, i dont wanna talk about it anymore 🤣 🤣 🤣 😅😐😭

You are a master gardener for sure!
When I have alot of cherry tomatoes I like to slip the skins (drop in boiling water for a few seconds, then into ice water) then saute them in butter until they're just carmalized, about 3-4 minutes. Yummy!

Hint: Don't pierce the flesh when taking the skins off, or you'll end up with stewed cherry tomatoes.

Gotta be honest one of my favorites in the summer is a tomato and mayo sandwich, basil and oregano are on the front porch in small pots, and I have 8 tiny Tim dwarf tomato plants in a bunch of spare planters from 1 gallon - 5 gallon lol, they are about 12” tall supposed to be between 8-18” so they are right at mid point. Gunna be cool to see those fruit

thank you haha, far from it always learning something and utilizing it the next year conditioning the soil I just use the amendments I mentioned, some composted manure, some topsoil. and the few times I do water it’s with earthworm castings tea, or Alaska fish fertilizer did that maybe 5 times all summer but they love it, I just amend the hell out of the holes with my compost to keep it loose, and draining, 5 gallon bucket size hole for each plant the plastic will stay down all winter and I’ll re dig and re amend each hole in the spring for next planting

I fuckin love tomatoes. Nothing better than a fresh, raw, juicy tomato, cut up into slices and coated generously with salt and pepper 🤤 Same with cherry tomatoes. I like to take a couple little sauce cups, one filled with salt the other with pepper - just lick the cherry tomato, dip it in the salt and then pepper and pop it in your mouth. I've eaten entire meals this way 🤣

Could you imagine driving around lit with Morgan freeman, every time he talked I’d be tweakin 🤣🤣
Public Service Announcement-

Whatever you do, do not take shrooms and watch a Morgan Freeman movie on bluray on a high def TV.
Seriously. I stared at that dude's face for like 3 hours straight. It's absolutely fascinating on shrooms. His moles and freckles will put on quite the show 🤣

Last year with that smoke from canada it really slowed my garden down massively, huge difference this year, my big beef F1’s are standing over 7’ tall now and putting out tomatoes like softballs and flawless no cracks nothing, all organic too used 2 types of amendments (ran out halfway through planting) used TRU organics about 6tbs per hole (tomato and vegetable) as well as jobes (tomato and vegetable) I gotta say I’d recommend both for anyone looking for a good overall garden amendment, used the same stuff on peppers tomatoes beans watermelons pumpkins eggplant zucchini broccoli, already having over average harvests on everything, we’ve frozen so much food already broccoli and such, stackin maters up gettin ready to can soon

Cherry tomatoes… I’ve sold about 40 quarts of already along with a ton of eggplants and zucchini’s garden is killin it this year
Looking great bro! You put a lot of work into that

It’s a bit wild in the spring gettin it started but then it’s basically cruise control all summer, really liking the plastic being down, no weeds to fight with, or to steal available neuts or moisture from the soil, with no rain I can go about 10 days without watering atm, I’ve gotten to day 9 and was ready to water the next day and it poured out, the 5 gallon pots are watered every other day but there’s only 15 of them and they get straight hose water if it rains really heavy I can skip them too lol

Just about every plant these days has a mantis. This one is on a 2 month old, 4' tall Sarsparilla in the greenhouse. I've been debating which strain I want to run for the 1 gallon contest. My Sarsparilla S1's from

The gelato's ive run have all been very slow veggers, but vigorous flowerers. I made the bubba kush x gelato cross (biggs) entirely because of how slow a vegger the couple gelato cuts i had were 🤷‍♂️

Id probably shy from the Gelato, personally, if i was running a plant in a contest. I grew gelatos because of the quality of the flower in the end, thats what impressed me with those. Growth rates and total end yield always left room for desire with me in the amount of time it would take to bring em along. Gelato was also part of my decision to move to DWC lol. Slow plants. My 2 cents lol. Maybe it'll help inform a decision there.

Northern lights, honey cream, a few kush varieties, grandaddy purp, and purple queen. Lollipopped, topped, need to be tied out a bit more, crowded unfortunately - my bad. Nutrients are all in the dirt. Moved a pile of ten year old compost to the pumpkin patch, added some manure and chicken shit, wood chips, garden soil, and pro mix. Set up weed barrier. I thought the soil was going to be too hot but I think I nailed it.
