Hello All-
I of course have not read all the rules or anything g but hell that is how I roll. So if still open I am in. I can figure out the details later. I mean seems lime we are growing in a 1 gallon container and must post a given number of times or more a week? Please let me know as I have a few plants running in one gallon pots now and some that can easily be moved over. I also have some seeds that recently poped as well. Ahh try my Wu Tang Style
Thanks All

Maybe some magnets might help the seeds:

Kinda sounds like it would help in veg also? Could you push the plant a little harder under lights in indoor climates?🤷🏼‍♂️

I have some strong magnets. I'll put them under the pot to see if it speeds up my seed. 🤣 could get dangerous though. Might need to keep it to one magnet at a time. If they get close and pull into each other they kinda explode upon impact.... ask me how I know 🤣.

It wasn’t an accident was it!?!?! 😂🫵😳😂. 🧲💥

It is actually kinda cool/scary to watch. It happens so fast. More a big spark and loud crack than an explosion, but definitely not worth turning good magnets into shrapnel
I’d be worried about catching that shrapnel to the face, yikes! And then you’re out the magnets lol! I used some pretty strong ones in a living situation once, they were very handy!

At this rate im willing to start trying things lol! I need someway to super charge my “diy light” haha!

Screw it! Throw up a submission on the submission topic (link in first post) just post like everyone else did the first 30 posts and I’ll add you to group 2 (if I forget remind me I’m a stoner eating a PB&J and a peach with a chocolate cookie chaser and a shot of burbon🤣) problem is you’ll have super short veg time get that sucker dunked!

Or commit one specific seedling that has popped within the past 5 days!

First drink since sprouting.

Microgreens are important! I gotta get some planted! They look like some nice seedlings get those suckers buried deep! Might be a hell of a root system on them down the line 😁

Well you know what I mean ;)

Micro greens
Permanent is nice, but it only works well usually with clones, any time I’m running multiple seed plants I’m using different size risers on every other plant if I want the tops even lol

For clones in scrogs like I do, I love it 😁

What kind of risers do you use?

My wife and I were just trying to figure a system out and I was like, “I need to just go see what all my forum friends do…”

Right now the simplest solution seems to be hardcover books. I want/need to be able to step pots up or down in 2-3” increments. I don’t have any more books that I don’t want though..

I’d need like 30 hardcover books just to cover what I have going on right now. I tried Craigslist and Facebook for free books but couldn’t find anything. Apparently goodwill charges 3-4 dollars per hardcover book. I guess they don’t actually have to be hard. Those just tend to be a good size and thicker.

If I don’t at least come up with a plan in the next 16 hours or so, my wife’s gonna end up spending a bunch of money on crappy books that cost too much and that will ultimately by annoying to store when not in use..

Like @Galgrows i use off cuts of timber, cheap (or free if you don’t mind fishing around in a builders skip), easy to cut to size and fix together to make bigger. And best of all you won’t miss your books

This is wild. I start my seeds in solo cups in a space underneath my early veg plants. I have a wire shelf that the early veg plants sit on, and underneath it is where the seedlings go, so they don’t get blasted with full light. I put the solo cups on a metal baking sheet, and put rare earth magnets in the bottom of the cups. This allows me to pull the entire baking sheet in and out without having to worry about dumping the solo cups, as they are “stuck” to baking sheet. Who knew I was serving dual purposes.

Another magnet on bottom of cup at transplanting keeps magnet in the cup.

@cannafarmer420

“I prefer unscreened as long as they are completely broken down“

To keep this thread discussion, and other thread “photos”

My screen is welded wire, with about 1/2” square holes. It is mostly to catch and organics from top layer of bin, as well as the worms, so they can go back to worm bin and not to pot.

I also keep a ~30 gallon tote for used soil. Once it is full, I transfer most of content of the fullest worm bin there, to let the worms break down the old soil and roots for about 6 months, before reusing it.

Dude! You are a genius! This a like a million dollar idea! Market that shit! Solo mags!!! You can even use my profile pic for the cheesy infomercial thing “tired of your plants spilling when you need to water!?” Then flash my pic😂😂

I’m never not putting magnets in my cups again!!!

1/2 screen is fine in my book, I like the worms and bugs in them!

Oh damn, that's it, brilliant!!

I suppose my only concern would be pests but I could pasteurize them if I really wanted to. Time to go buck some trees :))

Yo @Graham.Bagg got my mags for the next set of solos! Hope you know I wasn’t being a smart ass : ) ✌️ I love simple great ideas! They get me all excited!😆 View attachment 2248955
@BearWater, another tip is to use a putty or drywall knife between the solo cup and baking tray to remove cup.

Depending on the strength of the magnets, you can mangle cup trying to remove from cookie sheet.
