I have a plant, she started life as a clone. At the moment it's 3 and a half weeks old

Over the last two days she's looking a little droopy, I last watered it two days ago with a litre of water with no nutrients

The media is Coco and soil mixed and the pot is 4 gallons

I used a 20/4 light split.

I'm planning on watering tonight but I thought I'd post here first View attachment 2249998View attachment 2249999
You're watering wrong. Water coco several times a day

Not advised to mix soil and coco.Go with one or the other. Every grow I’ve seen with the two mixed has been nothing but problems because the two different medias require two different watering applications.
My bad I didn't notice poster said Coco and soil MIX. Agree with Beazy

with one to one he can't do dry cycle
coco coir will suck water from roots like dyson hoover
plant is underwatered 😉
I’ve never seen an under watered plant droop at the top first. Usually bottom up from what I’ve seen !!! Looks like a PH issue to me but I’ve never grown in this mix

Are you adjusting PH when watering and feeding ?? Soil shouldn’t need adjusting but coco needs to be adjusted I believe to like 5.6 - 5.8 Don’t quote me on those #’s tho like I said I’ve never grown in it someone smarter about coco will correct those #’s I’m sure if I’m off.

If you can get one, Id get one of those cheap, Moisture Meters, that you stick in the soil. Ive got one that measure Moisture-PH- and have used these off and on for 40+ years.
While I have no problem determining when my plants need water ect, by various methods. The Meter, allows me to test in several locations of the pot, and detect any potential dry pockets.
I also grow in 20 gallon containers-Promix BX, and also have several holes on all sides of the 20 gallon Tupperware container.
The Moisture meter has graded degrees of wetness. From Dry-Moist-Wet.
I try to never let the needle get past Low Moist. If it gets within hairs of the Low Moist Line, I water.
I never let my plants get to the point of Drooping. You risk fertilizer burn, especially if growing with chemicals. The fertilizer that hasnt been used by the plant, dries out, andbecomes concentrated, by lack of water. And when rehydrated, is rehydrated in concentrated condition, and if one fertilizes again, you are greatly increasing the likelihood, of fertilizer burn.
Another thing to consider is, those clay pots, should be soaked in water, for 24 hours before use, because they will suck water from the soil.

Me too 😉
But I had it in mind for other tent so was going through grows of successful people growing in mixture of soil and coco some time
All I was finding is that with 1:1 and up you have to treat it more like coco not a soil
It depends also how mix is done- layers are trouble. I was planning to thoroughly sift and mix mine
with big bits of coco it seems to suck water like crazy creating pockets. Better so to use fluffy ready mixes of coco coir not cheap stuff. makes sense
that might be the reason why we see under/over water signs at once?

but I am just shooting here 🔫

is that clay?

It's a cheap plastic pot.

I'll be using those going forward

Ah no I'm not, I read that you didn't need to.for soil. And stupidly assumed the same with a mix

There's a hydroponics shop near me I'll see if they have ph up/down

Yeah I won't be doing it again

She's perked up overnight!!

Must have had a good night's sleep 🤣

while most pheno will have their bottom and older leaves to drop first when thirsty i once had a pheno whose top leaves started dropping before bottom leaves when thirsty

Well whatever it is or was she definitely looks better.I hope she continues to do great for ya
The media was still a little moist to the touch so I'm leaving it for a few more hours

I guess I can leave it in veg until I've fixed any of these issues. Assuming it doesn't die of course

At the end of the day it's my first grow ( of literally any plant) so it's all part of the learning curve for me

"How often do you water coco soil mix?

As a rule of thumb, you should start by watering once per day, and observing the moisture of the coco in the pots for a few days. If you have especially large containers (which won't dry out as fast as small pots) you may be able to get away with watering only every other day."

it's not clear within the results, what PH for coco soil mix ...
