Have one too. Can't see shit. I need the USB microscope, I think. My cell camera doesn't have the macro feature. My fancy camera blows without the macro lens. I can take pictures of the craters on the moon, but not get clear detailed images of an insect's antenna. Go figure.

Chuck did make fun of me and tell me it isn't meant to take pictures through the lens. Just trying to get a magnified shot. I can't see anything in it, but I have bad eyesight.

This is why I really love this thread, can’t see shit. I tried on my watch and can see shit. Tried it on my plants and am like I am not trying to look at myself or the grow light . I tried it on some buds I have and can kind of see something but not nearly large enough for my aging eyes.

I got real close and closed one eye and could make some things out somewhat, but it didn't do what I needed. I think if your eyesight is bad, you should get the usb microscope. We won't have to close one eye and get close with it. Images are on a screen.

Mine was 10× triple loupe. Maybe a stronger one would be better, but just don't think it is going to work with my eyes.

I prefer 30x but if you struggle with it at 10x, 30x would just be even more challenging.

It’s true that they don’t make ‘em’ like they used to. The truly good ones are too much money. Vintage ones on eBay for like 60 bucks.

Good optics ain’t cheap, but they are a real delight. I love looking at nebula and star clusters through a couple thousand dollars worth of good glass.

That’s what I did with my free government lockdown cash. I bought a 1500 dollar telescope and a few 500 dollar lenses 😂

Never would have acquired that stuff otherwise!!

Jupiter is gonna be epic this year in December..

$60 isn't terrible, but I'm afraid it won't work for me. Might as well get something I know will.

Telescopes and their lens are amazing. Good time spending hours looking at the stars. We have an astrology park here. It's in a perfect spot with very little light pollution.

I bought some taxidermy pieces and different framed moths. Little did I know, it should've been a tent or five.

lol, seriously!! Now I’m just a broke ass with a fancy telescope. I live on a mountain out in the country. It’s not the desert but for being on the east coast, I have some of the darkest skies.

This helps me a lot.

Really inexpensive, and they make ones that go up to 50x. Trying to hold a loupe at the focal length while keeping my eye a set distance from the lens is impossible. The lenses add up, and kinda stack.

It is my favorite. My grandma's farm was so dark outside at night, you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. All you heard was bugs, frogs and some birds. The darkness is why I believe so many get so scared in Appalachia, but some find peace in that type of darkness and somewhat stillness.

Oh, I like that Dr looking thing. What in the world is that? I love it. Reminds me of those view finders. Hahaha
Exactly! It keeps the hands free to pull branches and stuff.

This one is similar, maybe the same, I got mine years ago:

One of the most vile things to me is light pollution. Bring on the EMP attacks already. Give me the transparency of the Milky Way or give me death..
A couple years back at deer camp, not that far removed from the city light pollution.

Green and red meteorites flaming through the sky. Really cool.

I don’t want that emp thing tho. Pretty sure that would suck . Like real bad 🧟‍♂️☠️

I know I know, I kid.. Maybe just a 3 day power outage across the lands in the winter would tide me over for a while ;)

I’m starting to think you’re actually a bat, that sleeps upside down, claws dug in the ceiling.
