I've been binge watching Hamilton's Pharmcopeia today. The shepherdess: story of Salvia divinorium was a perfect example about what we were discussing earlier. Salvia wasn't really working for him until the Shaman performed a very specific ritual. She discusses the disrespect of the plant by others and the consequences.

If you take about 25 or 30 leaves from the divinorum plant and remove the mid vein to lower mass, then chew like tobacco for about an hour, youll have a beautiful, very slow moving and quite wonderful experience, lasts about 4 hours, contrasted to the smoked extract which is kinda like DMT + a mexican hat dance party and pretty impossible to hold on to.

Interesting... my mom had the same issue when she started in her mid 20s. Even with top quality stuff. So then my dad had the idea to let her try eating some hash and ever since then it was all happy happy joy joy
