Starting to reach the weather where it will rain 5 times a week and was wondering how long I should keep this plant going. The side that faces the light is much more developed than the rest of the plant, some buds looking like week 3-4 while other nearly done. Also, how can I dry this large of a plant? I have a 3x3 foot tent, but don’t think this will fit. (last 2 close up pictures of trichs are from the bottom buds, 1 from side facing the sunset and one away from it)

I know some people that will harvest the plant by halves, maybe this would be a good idea rather than having half the plant be thick and the other half be smaller buds? My only issue is time, it’s dipping into the low 40s at nights and ranging from 76 to 60°F highs for the next week with lots of rain

Hey Pur.....I love what Jimmie said.....

They look close.....mine are almost like yours.....maybe a touch behind....

I'm doing my damnest to keep them out as long as possible....but Jimmie mentioned taking the the main colas and leaving the rest to try and mature more....

I’m a little scared to dry these since they’re so large, any tips? I have a pretty decent indoor setup, with a 4x4 tent and a 3x3 tent both connected to a strong exhaust fan split between the both, but have plants going in the 4x4. Would the exhaust fan being on nonstop be enough airflow for this thick of bud? They’re probably about 3x as thick as anything I’ve grown before, and it takes about a week to dry my indoor crops.

I had a 2.5oz main cola on one of my plants last harvest and it dried just fine in my tent, a similar setup to what you're describing. I just checked it once each day until I felt it was ready to cure. Kept my exhaust fan at max settings, indirect airflow from a oscillating fan, and humidity around 45%-55%. Most of my harvest was dried and ready to cure in about a week.

So......here's the deal.....Bilber kinda grows out-of-bounds.....with that said.......

I dry my flower in my unfinished, unsealed, uneverything that should be, but isn't, backroom.....my grow areas are in the same spot....

I'm not sure I would be comfortable with just the exhaust fan running......I would like a circulating fan moving the air around a little bit......on low.....not aiming at the plants like I do....fortunately it works for me with how my area is.....

I can take my oscillating fan from my tent with living plants in it for the dry, they’ll have to make do with the other clip fan that doesn’t move for a few days. Was thinking of trying grove bags everyone talks about on this site for the cure

Here's a question.....if you set your exhaust fan on high, does it move the air in the tent decently?

Reason being......do not take the fan out of your current grow.....it could lead to problems......

Grove bags......

I won't get into an are they or aren't they, but I sure do love the wide mouth Masons!!!!
I made the mistake of trying to cure 4 indoor plants with quart mason jars not wide mouth last grow and know I need the half gallons in the future, I bought 12 and ran out. What size do you like to use?

Looks good, you are pretty close. Someone will post trichome pics for your reference. As to the tent question, I only sleep in them, don’t know anything about drying or growing in them.
This one? 😁

5gallon food grade buckets

After years of Mason jars and this year learning about Grove Bags, I'll never use a Mason Jar again.

Grove Bags come in all sorts of sizes (1/4 oz, 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 1/2 lb, 1 lb, maybe a few ofhers) and now they sell vacuum seal rolls.

Might be able to fit the plant in a 3x3, you would have to cut into smaller pieces. You could hang some and use a couple hanging drying racks or get some window screen roll and make a mesh rack with multiple levels the size of the 3x3.

I seen a previous post about oscillating fans, if you use them just make sure it's indirect air flow.
What's your indoor temps and humidity where the plant would be drying?

Right now the tent hasn’t been used in about 2 months since I had spider mites on the grow I finished around then. I wiped it down good every week for about a month and since then haven’t used it, but when I dry in it i’ll have a mini dehumidifier and a heated seedling mat going to try to control temp and humidity. What about those mesh screens that vivosun sells for drying, would this be worth getting or would DIY ing it have the same result

From what I can see on my plant I can’t see many clear trichs, and can see a few amber, but I have bad eyesight. Would you guys agree
You'll need to get in close with a jeweler's loupe or magnifying glass of sorts. They look cloudy from the picture but you need to observe them from the sides and not the tops. ✌️

I agree, you have some amber trichs starting but I didn't see many. As for drying you would most likely need to dry it by cutting it up a bit.
