what if you mount the exhaust vertical in the attic, filter on top of it and just drop the inlet edge of the fan into the hole in the ceiling

Just eliminate it from the room altogether

Or like you said buy a piece of ducting, run the exhaust between the lights and that’ll probably gain ya 4” right there can lift the light up to the 6” ducting instead of the filter

Does the 2nd line going into the split come from the tent in the room?

And yes, that does come from the tent in the room, but I know this time of year. I could get away with putting the fan up there but 9 to 10 months out of the year here dude it’s way too hot to be putting anything that has an electrical load up there that isn’t built for that Because sometimes it gets like 130° up there

Oh yeah, definitely that’s why I was saying I could get away with it this time of year. I think it’s not a bad idea, though. I just need to go up there and take a look at what’s what where the peak of my house is at relative to the hole in the ceiling it’s up on the edge of peak, so it’s tight up there as it is right now but if I get a little bit of extra ducting, I should be able to pull it up in there and do what he was saying it’s a good idea.

Only about 12” of ducting is needed, then turn the Y you have there on the flat

I had the same issue had the exhaust on the side against the wall and light was hitting it

The FC-E8000 is a true 47”x47” but the FD6500 is like 44x38 so it gave me just enough To to squeeze the filter and fan between them in line then I just ran the 6” duct above the light to the corner and up and out of the tent. they can get a little squishy without any issues I agree

Or mount the exhaust between the lights and just duct up into the attic and have the filter up there

For sure, you can also keep the fan inside with the filter up in the attic, for fan not overheating like you said. It’s just as hot in my attic as yours. I totally understand it . If you put the filter up there you might have to change it July or August when it stops working.

Well you already have a bunch of support and lots of documented grows with your creations besides the mountain of personal experience. I’d say do it! Just gotta work on your labels . Probably wouldn’t take much to find some plastic containers, small ziplocks and some printer paper inserts with strain info and a picture of the flower on it. I pondered over the most recent shipment I got from you for days before making a decision on what to pop, and I still wanna pop like six more strains too.
