Don’t need anything spectacular in a small space I’ve ran these blurples to excellent harvests, they have upgraded versions now but aroun$150-$200 could get you plenty of light for that space, even if you went with a new viparspectra 1500pro. While I do like the blurples be careful if you go that way they do run much warmer than traditional LED’s but are cost effective for budget setups for sure, I have 2 spares on the shelf in case my main lights have issues

couldn't be happiest with the 1500 bought 4 two of the older model and 2 of the new 1

This is my first time growing and am looking for any advice I can get and try to learn from. It’s hard to research with so many different opinions coming from so many people, I need the community.

I’ve started with 2 clones, one is Banana OG and the other is Original Glue. Looking for pointers as I go forward. This is a very low budget grow as I have limited space and money, and am growing in a closet. please be kind in your words/advice as I am truly trying.

There are water stains on the leaves of the Banana OG from having a little bit of excess nutrients in my watering can, but I’ve learned from my mistake and won’t be spraying the leaves at all any more.

Thank you to anyone who has any advice.

I’m using a 6400k 100w LED and 4x 1ft T5 LED strips each at around 10w

Trying to only water once every 4-5 days

Mate super cool grow, I’m also on my first grow in a similar set up to yours. The help and advice on here has been huge for me and I recommend you keep going!

The things I learnt so far from my first grow are:

1) bright light is right: a strong grow light at a sensible distance (mines circa 24” away from top of plant) is crucial for growth - I had what I thought were nute deficiency in my plant but turned out that I just had the grow light too close!

2) don’t nuke your nutes: I was super keen to keep feeding my plant, thinking the more I put in the bigger my plant would get - even minimal over feeding can lead to problems and harm the plant (sounds obvious but I learnt the hard way lol)

3) Listen to the plant: you can consume all the content you want on growing (there is near limitless available online as you correctly said). I found by looking at my plant and comparing it to other healthy plants I was able to adjust the care of my plant accordingly.

4) Get it wrong to get it right: Practice and repetition has been huge for me, not trying to change everything in one go. From germination to harvest isn’t as quick as it seems and you’ve got a bit of time to make subtle adjustments to learn how to care for your plant best.

Above all though keep asking questions and keep learning from those who will share. It has helped me no end. Keep on keeping on, looks like you’re doing great.

What a great response! Thank you for the time and effort you took to write that out!

I have been doing the trial and error method for a while now and am loving every step!

Right now I am just enjoying the hobby and learning how my bud babies work!

This is my most recent venture:

Hey gang!

With the 2 little ones and lots of hobbies I find it difficult consistently posting on here so I do have to apologize for my periods of silence.

I’m Back at it with blue dream this run. Pretty much done training so now just to get them flipped to flower and see what we get this time! She’s a great smoke, but think it lacked in potency due to harvesting a week or so too early.
