Cold snap is here and has dried the air out severely.

I'm having significant vpd issues in my Veg tent, never worried about it when I was growing Northern Lights but my new strains are showing issues with water uptake and nutrient absorption.

Tent stays stable at 70 - 73 degrees and I have an ink bird humistat controller delivering tomorrow.

Am I on the right track to run a humidifier on low 24/7 then have the exhaust and intake fans kick on and off at highs and lows of vpd humidity range?

Any help would be appreciated, it's frustrating to say the least.

I could care less about VPD once I stoped worrying about VPD I stopped gettin shit like PM, once I stopped PH’ing growth, plant health, and yield improved

Sometimes… ya just gotta grow some weed and forget the other shit

I’m not advocating for anyone to change their styles, but maybe give it a go once and compare, me with the 4 tents in random places in the house learned I’m not gunna have perfect environment every time, but perfecting VPD, injecting Co2, leaf temp regulation, exact humidity control, all great in a controlled professional environment, sealed grow rooms, but in a home setting… I think we just gettin fleeced with the gadgets anymore,

They grew Skunk people hunt for today with HPS, and outdoor, usin whatever they could for neuts with none of this, only thing we have now is weaker genetics with less resistances becsue the designer bud scene is all bred in rooms that never get environmental stressors, until they hit the homegrower who bought the seeds and begins seeing issues

Grab that bag seed bring back some OG genetics and keep a mother that can handle hell and back without a single nanner

Leaves are so papery and I have intravenous yellowing that I tried to correct and think I over corrected because they are clawing.

Starting to rethink using a zero nutrient base soil because it's been hard for me to feed them straight out of the cloner.

Right outta the cloner my go to is mix up a gallon of promix with 1 tbs Gaia green 4-4-4 then I water in with the Alaska fish fert at 2ml/liter of water

i don't care for todays designer weed scene either. terp sprays and infused this and that... fuck that, don't even get me started. last time i was able to get high was in 2012 when i helped a childhood friend set up a room. i stayed long enough to grow 1 batch of the best one & done gdp you could ever hope for. supposedly came straight from bob weir himself. unfortunately we lost Frank to suicide 2ys ago. it's my hope to bring back a land race & name it "Frank's Dream".

it is so kewl to have found all y'all like minded people to share with and learn from and hang out with etc. i am very thankful, and feel truly blessed. back in the day it's not like you could go around talking to anyone about what you did, i only had like 10 friends who were fellow growers. it was a very lonely existence indeed.

you don’t need any of that crap if you know what a plant is going to do what any of its ailments are going to be if you don’t learn that stuff over a certain amount of time to the point where you don’t need to pay attention to that shit in my opinion, you’re slipping.
Back when I started this crap none of those arbitrary metrics existed we didn’t need them and I still don’t. I’m not knocking people that do rely on these things, but not everything is some giant fucking equation relative to a micro climate. It’s just more simple than that to me.

How long in the cloner are we talking here? Just me personally. I’ve had clone sit in a cloning box with just water and 24 hour pump action for over a month. Sure they might come out with a couple of burnt tips on the edge of the leaves and shit but nothing that a couple days and some soil won’t fix. Hit me up in a personal message.
