So this is my third grow in a row. Everything is going so well. Plants healthy and thriving. Then they slowly die and dry up dead. Spider mites claimed the first two. I've since had exterminator in. I use a neem oil spray every couple of days. Everything is slowly yellowing. Each plant is a $10 seed and I've already thrown away a $100 in seeds not including these guys. Please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm desperate.

What soil are you growing in?
What nutrients are you feeding?
What strength?
Water source?
Autos?
How old?
I have only started feeding nutes at 3 weeks. They are almost 5 weeks now. Very low levels once a week. Cal-mag at a low level in the water jug, every watering. I use filtered tap water. Light is viparspectra p600 at lowest light level at 18" I just panicked and flushed them in recharge.

I use some of the FF nutes also.
I suggest adding what they call Big Bloom, it is ewc and bat guano.

When you transition to flower I would add Tiger Bloom. I follow this schedule ✌️

I have trouble getting a good dryback with plastic pots .

Fabric pots are much easier for me ✌️💨
Started them in fabric. Let them go to about 6 weeks in these plastic pots then transfer to 2 gallon fabric. Never had issues a few years ago. Now I feel like I can't keep them alive past 8 wewks.

I feed calmag at 5 ml/gal, pretty much the standard dose.
I would increase the strength of your grow big nutrient for now.
Might be a good idea to get the other nutrients and follow the feed chart the other member posted above.

Just a guess . Soil looks really wet . I’m guessing that it’s staying wet too long. Maybe try cutting some holes in the side of the plastic pots to aid in dryback 👍

what happened to these plants
I found some perfect pots at my local pond suppliers , they are plastic but are used for planting pond plants so they have slots all over for good airation...i had the same issues 2 years ago spending £10 on a seed to watch it die off ( i threw mine outside onto the veg patch and half of them rooted and grew in the sunlight with zero attention) my plants do better when i just leave them alone...theres something to be said for stability of the environment as well , i would keep swapping lights etc and i noticed the plants would slow right up if they were given a different environment.
soil wants to be damp not wet , its easier to revive a plant thats been slightly underwatered than over watered.

What ph/ppm are you watering at?

What’s your nighttime temps?

The yellowing of the lower growth tells me it’s a mobile deficiency,
The purpleness is the stems tell me it could be shock (temps) or a ph lock out

For soil I’d recommend anywhere from ph 6.2/6.5

I see your temps
Are sitting 80f try not to exceed a -10 deferential at night time,

in terms of deficiency it looks lole
Nitrogen to me,

For the bigger plants I’d recommend a feed ppm of 500/750 with a spike of (N)
The smaller ones around 250/350

Add some water to your pot ph to 6.2 nd check the run off, if your run off comes back with a lower ph increase till your buffer zone goes back to 6.2/6.5

I try to not use cal mag unless I really need too

I’d chop the yellow growth off nd watch the current green leaves for development
I’d also dim the light a little bit don’t wanna focus on growth till you fix the issue hope this helps somewhat curious to see what other people think

The root drench isn’t great the amount of microbes isn’t very good.

They need n your grow big has n in it
The root drench doesn’t
You could be overdoing the root drench or cali mg & locking the nutes out or your not feeding enough n.

I suggest not using the root drench for a bit & using a n heavy fert

Your in soil right there not much need for cali/mg during veg

I seriously wonder if your adding to much cali/mg/root drench and it’s throwing out the chemical balance root drench has mg in it & it is possible

I use plastic pots all day long & so has many a grower I mean we grew before fabric was even a thing was even a thing. Albeit he could be right you maybe are overwatering

Purple stems are normal ph lockout & you would see curled leaves I don’t see any

you have the light already dimmed to it lowest setting id raise the light to 24” and up the dimmer to at least 50%

Btw 6.2 is to low 6.3-6.8 is the optimal

I think that medium might be Coco instead of soil, and maybe needs to be treated as such!
I found what he’s using however I don’t think it’s coir it’s a peat free soil

thats a blend thats probably going to hold onto a lot of water And it has loads of added nutrients plus he is dosing it with even more nutrients, probably too hot ...i know, i did it myself and my first plants looked just like that ..i have found that once they stunt, especially early on,they struggle all the way through.
ive had plants like that which i have taken out the pot shaken all the soil off the roots and replanted , started again

i used those pots once and they hold onto to too much water, the holes on the flat bottom dont drain well so you end up with a pocket of water which for some reason gets really hot , try orchid pots for germination , they let more airflow around and will dry out more , which is good for newbies who go in every hour and put a bit more water on because it looks dry. I ended up getting some cheap seeds off ebay and just practising until i had worked out what was stunting them

Sorry Hsilvas, don't like seeing these issues and I know you don't either. I'm growing organic and from my point of view...

It's an organic soil (Coco/hybrid) and city water, I wouldn't feed anything, just water. The soil is designed to feed. The water has minerals in it.

Your light is too close. I'd hang it at 30" above plants at 40% intensity.

If your watering practice is good they should respond. Water slowly, make sure all the soil in the pot is wet. Then don't water again until you see leaves droop a little. The roots are growing down into the soil. It has to be wet down there or leaves will yellow. Plus the soil is pre-inoculated with myco and composted soil products and must be moist for microbes to flourish and prepare for the roots.

You picked an organic soil, I think you should follow that path. I would dispense with the liquid nutrients at least until they get back to healthy looking and growing. Then they might enjoy a little N boost. Very best of luck to you and yours.

If I picked the right product, the NPK is, .08, .03, .03! Doesn’t sound like a hell of a lot of fertilizer! FFHF Is, .30, .30, .05! And it is considered fairly weak!
