Ok… changed direction a shade, null’s the 3x3 bed, went with 3x 30 gals
Was gunna home bake soil but that venture was… quite a bit pricier. Opted to make a blend of BAS premade soil including 6 bags of their small batch Dominion blend (BAS x Duke Diamond collab) then I’ll mix that in with 4 bags of BAS light recipe soil, wanted to go with the 3.0 but it’s out of stock, so I upgraded the 3.0 to the dominion
Fuck it, it was a $600 drop, I figure 7.48 gallons per cubic foot, plan will be 2 bags of dominion and 1 bag of light mix per 30 gal, just over 21 gallons each, grabbed 1 extra light recipe to top all 3 with get em up to 22 maybe 23 gallons each, plenty of head space left in the 30’s for future mulches, cover crop , and top dresses (4 bags + gives you 10% off all 4 bags (aka bulk order)
I guess this will begin my new no till experience, organic I’ve done but this is a bit different so I’m excited to learn, looks like up to 2 run potential with the dominion and I plan to run cover crop (probably white clover, super expensive but worth it for the benefits, I’ll get a bulk bag 10 lbs for about $50 should last me years) and mulch (mulch will be a straw layer, i ave a bale in a bag outside, if the bale is in good shape I’ll boil a bunch of straw to kill off any bugs / pathogens / parasites and then dry back out before I put it out
Oh and NEWYEAR2025 for 10% off your whole order!
This will start in a new topic once eveything arrives and we get we goin!
