I would suggest building a aquafir in the bottom of your pots 2” of 3/4 rock filled in with sand. It will help with your watering. Drink up the run off.

They’ll be up on the racks, nothing directly under them, so if i be overwater it’ll come out and drip down into the pans but just evaporate from there, not planning to ever have any runoff, once I really get tuned in I’ll have the watering to a no runoff point, on the 12’s I could get them to hold moisture to the point if you poked the pot water would drip, but if ya diddnt touch it, nothing would drip at all, they didn’t even have any pans under them just the racks lol but that’s walkways my goal when watering

Watering once I start them will be with the sprayer only no pot watering, and I’ll water based off moisture meter readings, should be able to tune it into a specific amount of water once I know my targets

Then sprayer works good. It gets old fast because it takes a long time to get the watering done. My big bed I ended up rigging up a pump to a small sprinkler system. That way I can measure the amount of water and not have to sit there spraying for a hour.

Yeah I mean I use the sprayer with no nozzle takes about 4 minutes to empty the 3.5 gallon if I run full out without the nozzle but I’d just rotate through all 3 pots with 7 gallons 2 fill ups) over 15-20 minutes is my current estimate about 2 1/3 gallons of water each but depending on if I have a big plant in or just cover crop I’m sure I’ll change up the moisturize targets

Got the first bag mixed up,

22.5 gallons (3cu ft) mixed and being slowly watered in 1.5 gallons, staying on the light side as I don’t have a moisture meter yet, going with 10% rule bing 2.2 gallons I went with 1.5, don’t think 5% would be enough to get water near the bottom at all, not gunna have a big plant in it for a few weeks, getting the microbes going, I’ll hit them with a half gallonnn noir elevated each again tomorrow to add some more moisture, red wigglers will be here on the 3rd, gunna put in the cover crop and just cover it with a light layer of soil mix I filled a 1/2 gallon pot to put on top of the seed, I’ll see if the store has any straw in the morning

For today

2bags BAS dominion blend
1bag BAS Light recipe
1.5 gallons of water
1/4tsp big 6 micronutrients
2tsp saponin extract
1ml FPF fulvic amino acid

Landrino white clover for cover crop for now may add the 13 seed mix later but for now I’ll use just the white clover

Looks great, I'm a huge fan of BAS look forward to seeing how everything turns out
More coming will have the EcoWitt WH51L deep moisture meters coming soon, need some mulch and worms coming few other things I wanna get just cus I wanna lol

Gunna get the soil and cover crop goin while the clones finish rooting I’ll pot them into cup sized pots and give them a week or so to get used to the soil and get them into the big pots

You’re going to love how easy the living organic is. You’ll really like it when you are on the third or fourth grow in the same soil.

I use the regular EcoWitt moister meters so I'm interested in seeing how the deep ones work for you
I figured why not, what I’m having a hard time figuring out is which is the best hub or gateway to use if I want to have 3 of the deep meters and 3 of the normal meters all connecting to the same unit

This is the one I’m planning to get it says it can support up to 8 of the WH51/WH51L sensors if I reading it correctly

I’ll use the phone as the central display until I get one of the LCD displays

Ya know…. An earth box would probably fit pretty damn nice in the middle of those 2x 30 gals
I have one 2x4 tent with two 15 gallon pots and one 2x4 with two city picker pots. Pretty much the same as a earthbox. It makes it so easy to have a good productive grow. They have 3.0 recipe and I amend with craft blend and casting at flip of flower and harvest only.

Pasteurized (not sterlizized) some straw I had to kill off any seeds / bugs 165-175f held for 1.5 hours on the stove then drained and cooled and applied now we just wait for cover crop to pop up and the worms to show up!

I was gonna say the same, didn't even know they had them (Deep Meters). At some point here we're gonna have a nice discussion about the "sweet spot" on where to keep these. Because in some pots 25 seems to be it for me and in other pots the popular 35 recommendation is the sweet spot, or is it? Going off them cheapo green meters I've found that the plants are super happy when it's at the "moist" level of the green meter. Yet on the Eco witts it's reading 25! So yeah, I sometimes try to keep it at 28-30 (right now the 4x2 sweet spot is 25) with no problems.. Are you seeing the same @KingsOrganics ??

Edit: just found my Blumat water meter. Will be interesting to see how that compares.

two 20g pots in a 4x2 and do about the same with the top dressing. Near harvest is when I'll top dress for the next round. Do you wait couple weeks before starting another run in the same pots?

I said it and will say it again... Them plants will explode in them 30g pots ...trees bro...trees.
That’s the goal! I do want large plants but not too large, I was having great success running the 12’s and being able to fill a 4x4 space per plant that’s all I’m looking for, not massive but large.

Positions is my question as well, I don’t want them at the bottom, but probably have the tip in the bottom 1/3 of the pot. I’ll have the WH51’s on the top layer so it’ll be interesting to see how they dry top to bottom bottom to top etc I have this topic going but was thinking about starting a living soil topic
