OK, when it comes to a defoliation at that time, I dig that two week window you’re giving it by the way that’s my chosen method after my last pruning or defoliation. I always like to wait at least 14 days that way any damage or stress has had plenty of time to heal before you go ahead and you make the flip to another very stressful time in the plants life good shit now I always go for the largest most of intrusive fan leaves that are pointed inwards towards center mass of the plant that are covering possible future top sites you don’t have to get too crazy because believe it or not colas that aren’t getting direct sunlight will still swell mid canopy not as gnarly as top side, but still pretty damn gnarly because the light penetration on the equipment we use these days is pretty bad ass. You be surprised so you don’t have to be heavy handed here. You just want to get the largest ones out of the way.
I’ll generally stop when I can see 10% of the top of the medium in the pot showing light penetration
So 90% shade 10% light on the top side of the dirt in your pot and you should be good

whole day setting it up every joint i made leaked 5 times i used the whole role of teflon tape and now after fixing all the leaks only the last leak on the filter they sold me one with a bad connection -.- i have been under the sink since this morning but i just cant make it. do i use a little bit or a lot of teflon anything i try doesnt work.... any plumbers here plastic on plastic connection?

So sorry. Yes, replace all the fittings you can with brass. Thr tubing is fine but the fittings should be brass. Lowe's/home depot will have them. Not cheap but worth it. Buy more Teflon tape AND some pipe joint compound and use a lot of both on all fittings. Use brass inserts on the tubes. Don't skip this

All else fails there's a product called Goop 6000. It's a sealent and glue. Must let dry (couple hours) before pressure.

you posted your reply. I've just recently
installed 2 units, so while not nearly as
experienced as you, I'm not unfamiliar. If
I'm wrong in any of it let me know


There should only be 1 threaded connection,
which is a 3/8 or 1/2 x 1/4" for the cold water
connection. This tee should have 2 gaskets
(like the gasket in a garden hose or wash
machine hose) you must be careful not to
over tighten or it'll squish the gasket too
much and it'll leak. This connection does
not require teflon tape. Next is the 1/4" that
should be a compression fitting to connect
the tubing. It should have a little brass barrel
that goes on the tube in front of the
compression nut. This connection doesn't
require teflon tape either & must not be over-
tightened . All other connections should just
be push connections for the tubing that don't
use teflon tape. I'm not sure why they even
put it in the kit, I didn't use any & I have 2, 1
in my kitchen with a tank and 1 in the down
stairs bath room that is tank-less for my grow
water. If not experienced with push fittings it's
best to measure and mark the tube where it'll
be when you "home it up" in the fitting. If it's
leaking at a filter push fitting, the only thing I
know of to do is to replace the filter. I'm not
sure where you purchased it, but another
option would be to return/exchange the
whole unit. I know it sucks, but unless I'm
misunderstanding, it's probably all you can
do at this point. Oh, If it's the re-minralization
filter, just bypass it and don't use it (you
shouldn't use it for growing anyhow). Pictures
or vid showing where it's leaking would be
helpful.

Also, if you are using a collection can or barrel,
you don't need the tank, just run the tubing
straight to the float valve in the can/barrel.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have any connections to
hook me up until Betty Lou is ready and it's my only
option atm. I've always been pretty disciplined and
one to not be impatient and take early samples,
unless something gets broken by accident.

According to my fancy gizmos tent 1's temperature is "who gives a fuck" and RH is at yonder levels.

My hands say it's about 72-74f with 50 ish % humidity lol.

Pretty sure the cheapo is actually more accurate then the bougie one. Both very wrong on both metrics for sure.
