So after convincing myself I can grow in my basement using cheap t5 hand me down lights and bag seeds I decided to yo my game a little bit. So starting a new diary to track my progress. Going into what I guess you’d call my third grow. Kind of a mosh mash because I got rid of all the plants from bag seeds I was growing from herms causing herms blah blah lol but the new set up is

Flower tent 4x4
Flora gear 700 watt led

Veg tent
4 54 watt t5 led grow lights.

Growing in 70/30 coco perlite

Veg nutes
Fox farm grow big
Cal mag
Bio rhizotonic

Flower nutes
Advanced nutrients sensi bloom pro series a+b
Advanced nutrients big bud

So my plan is rotate plants in two at a time a few weeks apart so I can have a semi constant harvest. Right now I have 2 lemon lava and a Pineapple Express that I flipped to flower super early to sex and took clones. They are about a month into flowering. Then I just added a psychosis and a psycho berry.

In the veg tent I have a few more psychosis, psycho berry, liberty haze, lemon lava, Pineapple Express and pineapple kush.

Getting the nursery going for a few buddies that run outdoor up here in New England. Got some pineapple og, psychosis, psycho berry, lemon lava,liberty haze,white widow and Pineapple Express.

Also this Pineapple Express is putting on some frost. Funny the guy I got the seed (yes one seed that I have nursed like a child) told me when he grew it that it was a tall leggy scraggly thing and I think it’s great but I guess that’s relative.

The real test will be to see how the clones I took from her flower after I actually properly veg them. I put this in the flower tent when it was like 8 inches tall to figure out the sex so I took clones and grow out two colas to sample and I’m pleasantly surprised

I’ve really been struggling to know how people can sex plants while they are in veg. I’ve had some that I would suspect were male because they just had a different structure. But When I got a reg seed I just flip it young take clones and grow a tiny plant to sex it. I’ve always wondered if that’s what other people do. Probably just don’t be. Brokey like me and buy fem seeds or clones haha so If anyone would like to teach me the ways I’m here for it haha

Veg area is going well, doing some cleaning and organizing . Not ideal but still just glad to have another area to veg instead of using my one tent and taking forever to harvest. Struggling to keep humidity in here. My only solution for now has been leaving a lot of water in the trays and the wet towel thing and misting as much as possible.

For now just working with what I got and I’m pretty stoked with the setup. I can now properly veg plants and have a constant flower tent. Just got to dial it in.

third grow and this lemon lava is shaping up to be the first plant I’ve grown that I’d consider top shelf. I buy a lot of flower at dispos in multiple states and this is the first shit I’ve grown that gives me hope of cutting those fuckers off haha

Not to sound ungrateful, I got about five ounces from my last grow I just had to take it down early because of herms and I’m a flavor guy and it just doesn’t have it. I smoke the fuck out of it but I’ve still been buying flower too.

Cheers to that. One thing for sure is I’ve enjoyed growing it much more than giving some company my hard earned money. Especially when you pay good money for good shit at the dispo and get disappointed because that’s happened many times.

Got a sick little baby humidifier for the veg tent for $12 today. Only pain in the ass is if you put it on the analog timer it won’t turn back. Something to do with the way the buttons work for power so I’ll just have to turn it on and off a few times a day but definitely a step in the right direction.

Yeah I’m all bag seed or just regular non femmed. i pop a bunch and hope for some females : ) that’s just what works for my set up and space.

Then when I find a female. I clone it and try to keep it alive as long as possible.

But I have seen people say that plants show signs of female or male during veg. I personally can’t tell until I flip it. So that’s my process haha it does suck when you got a nicely vegged plant and ya throw it in the flower tent and it’s a male. Really monkey wrenches the rotation lol

Any Sunday spent doing weed things is a good Sunday in my book. Started construction on the 4x4x7 grow….area? I refuse to call it a tent Lol trying to use this time being laid off to set up everything to run on autopilot when I go back to work. Going to do the outsides with 4x8 sheets of 3/4 inch reflective insulation sheets my dad has laying around should work mint and look a little better in the basement than my plastic hut lol

Plants are moving right along. Pineapple Express and lemon lava smelling lovely and still putting on weight every day. Psychosis and psycho berries are starting to hit their stretch. Wish I had a chance to veg them longer but I wanted to get something in the flower tent sonindontbrun out of grass lol I’ll grow bigger beautiful plants the next rotation.

Nursery also moving right along. Going to put that psycho berry in the back left to flower in the next few days

Just put this little psycho berry into the flower tent after a haircut and the structure on these things is just so different than anything I’ve grown. Can’t wait to see what it does
