Hi all,

This is my first time trying to grow.

I don't know if I'm doing things correctly and thought is best to ask 🙂

So, I have 4 skunk auto plants. Seeds germination was smooth did it with the wet paper towel. First picture is about 7 days after I planted the seeds in the soil and the second picture is today so 6 days between the 2 photos.
I have a basic tent and equipment I think....I keep the light 18 on 6 off at 400 watts around 40-50 cm away from plants. Fan is blowing gently and the extractor with filter is on keeping a temperature of around 25 Celsius. I water them once a day and not used any nutrients yet.

Any recommendations if any? Do they look decent for this stage?

11 march germination started
14 march planted in soil
22 march first picture
28 march today last photo

Thanks all 🤗🤗

What soil are you using?? Typically for me I like to measure
EC
PH
PPFD so that DLI is dialed in.
Temp and Humidity so the VPD is dialed
But from first glance they look like they are doing well. Two plants in one pot is going to be interesting. Hope this helps!

Welcome!

Yeah there may be some fighting for space. I'm curious to see how they do. Everything eLBow said is what will get you dialed in.

Happy growing mate
Interested to see how the two plants in one pot works out ..I'll be watching to see 👌🏾👊🏽

Yes me to mate hahaha no idea what I'm doing anyway but is fun and if I get to enjoy one joint out of all I'll be happy. Will keep post updates with pictures etc. Thanks for following

It's half the fun I'm literally on my first grow to absolutely winging it 👌🏽😜 look forward to seeing your journey as well 👊🏽

Welp if you don't care much and just having fun enjoy the grow and learn through experimenting. You may just find out it's not that easy to grow 2 plants in 1 container and keep them healthy and happy.

Update day : they still alive haha never thought they will. Just bought Ionic Grow off Amazon 10 quid/ litre and will start feeding them from tonight.

Have a great day guys!

Separate those things man your yield is gonna suffer
I may ask what soil mixes that?
Reason I say to separate them now is because eventually they’re gonna start the tangle and then eventually one’s gonna suffer because there’s always gonna be one. That’s a little bit stronger than the other and you wanna do it before they get too big don’t be scared. that’s something you should think about on the swift. You could take the opportunity to add perlite to that soil.
It’s purposes that keep space in between the dirt to help with soil aeration to ensure a healthy amount of air getting to your plants root zone
Also, if you’re gonna wanna get away from watering every day, they’re the size now that you really could just go ahead and start getting into a decent wet dry cycle
Another tip you never ever wanna plant into a really large pot like that right off the bat you always wanna incrementally step it up as the plant fills whatever pot it in you want up potted into it next step it’s great to start in solos and then go into 1 gallon And then into threes then fives etc.. It always keeps your plans of roots, looking for food and reaching
It’s also about not over watering because with the pot that size and you have small plants in them, the majority of the feed or water that you give them washes straight past the roots to the bottom and then it builds up saturates and won’t dry out, and it won’t dry out because the roots wont penetrate saturated medium which will then translate into a dead zone. You do this enough, it snowballs and can lead to any number of other issues down the road. You shouldn’t ever give any more water to your plant until your pot feels like it’s the equivalent of Styrofoam in terms of weight.

Are your pots really heavy right now or feel like bowling balls?

Guys,

Appreciate your advice.

Remember this is my own experiment and what to see what's left at the end of it haha

I will keep uploading photos every few days

Fingers crossed 🤞

^ this above is the best advice you're going to get.

I think trying to grow two plants in one pot is some kind of right of passage with weed. I know I tried it! It never ends well though lol
Yep, bet we have all done it for the sake of science, right?
So I would like to elaborate a bit more the size of your tent relative to the size of those two parts yeah it’s begging for you to separate those and have four pots instead of just too. You’re gonna be wasting a lot of space
Otherwise, unless you plan on vegging for six months👊🏻🤡

Well, I’ve made a lot of these mistakes so you don’t have to, and the squeeze isn’t worth the juice dude but I digress some of us just gotta go through the motions man. I’m just here to tell you that it ain’t gonna be a lot.

But is a lot of work and I'm a lazy f k lol
Maybe if I get some motivation will do it as I have soil and pots available FFS is just this lazynes.

Soil attached

Not get them off the floor on some kind of riser and you're good to go!
