Hey!! Quick question. I'm curious if anyone weighs their plants at chop and does the math weight difference for knowing when you have lost enough moisture and now good to trim and cure? Just curious of that method instead of just seeing if the branch breaks?

I’ve maybe done it once before I think 15% of original weight is a good estate after trim, so the trim and stems aren’t part of the final weight. The internet says 33-40% but I think that’s whole plant not trimmed. Now I’m curious, but also acknowledging the many variables that can affect the final percentage.

i stuck it in the dirt anyway. All germinated except the one that you said to sand. I haven’t given up on her yet. Og skunk broke. The picture above is the red dragon which split the seed into two. Never seen that before. I am in trim jail on the special queen right now. I am at 6-8 out of 30 colas

if you didnt sand paper it, pinch it lightly to crack the shell and itll prob take right off

I was able to get one to go when i did the germ test that way. beyiond that the only ones that popped were sandpapered, none of the unaided ones popped.

Seriously their shells are too stiff, they cant separate it on their own lol

Yea, I've ready 12 to 15 as well. So 1 of my 3 I just chopped weighs 38 oz with no fan leaves. So I figure go for about 13% which would be 5oz lighter so trim at 33 oz? Lol I
