I honestly think that egg prices are reflective of the business that provides them, some businesses see value in selling their products at affordable prices and would prefer to keep customers happy rather than fleece their customers for a profit just because everyone else does it. I mean I’m one person who buys their product while overlooking everything else that’s over priced, I’m not the only one, it’s a perishable product that can’t sit on the shelf for weeks on end, why chase larger profits if it’s going to drop your sales?
