I changed my accent on purpose til it stuck. i wish i had never done that though

That's a bit of a mind-fuck, self induced.

I enlisted right after high school, traveled a lot and lived up north for a straight decade. My accent faded, but only from being away from where I grew up. But, after a few beers, and especially around Southern folk, my accent would come back.

When I go back to my hometown and talk to friends who've never left, they sound country as fuck, and I miss that.

When I moved to Buffalo, I went to work for this guy who gave me, a "dumb Southerner," a chance. When I found something better a year later, he begged me to stay and lamented he'd never find someone with my skills to replace me. Haha, motherfucker! Who's the dumb one now?

My point is, people suck for the most part, they're always hung up on themselves and their tiny circles of life. But, every now and then you meet a real human who's well rounded. That only happens when you are true to yourself. Fake people run with other fakes, and life is too short to be unoriginal.

And as a life long study of people, one of my talents is spotting accents. There are many and varied southern dialects! There's like two northern dialects. Just kidding.

for tennessee, you gotta think a little more like Boomhaur. Its like a mush of the Tx and GA accents put together, plus a kazoo. I sounded a lot like this guy for the longest time. I changed my accent on purpose til it stuck. i wish i had never done that though





To be specific tho, im talking bout the appalachia side of TN.

Wife and I have been working on that accent for years. Thinking about and talking about moving there for the past decade. I bet today no one in Tennessee would think we were born in Cali

Been painting a LOT but had to get down to the dungeon a bit this morning

The kahunas are fuckin killing it I could see the canopy was visibly whiter when I opened the tent today, makes sense the okie liniage is lnown for starting heavy frost production on day 38-44 and today just happens to be day 39!

Frostette is 2 days past the end of week 3, stretch should be done, she looks fucking ON POINT for the stretch fill I was wanting, she’s gunna have an insane above net yield, im really impressed with this FC-E4800 its throwin the fuck down at 60% and 24”

If you think that’s not enough it’s an impressive 827PPFD to the canopy atm

This is why I overbuy when I get lights,

4x8 is pulling 1000w split between the lights, the FD6500 is at 65% and the FC-E8000 is at 60% both at 30” from the canopy averaging just under 700ppfd each

In a rush to hook up my neighbor with some plants for spring he will get my Frostette and kahuna 3 mothers I’m doing quick clones bought the riot rooters and the new prop down with extendable lid, the rooters are here so I stuck a few tiny cuts in to see if they take if not I’ll have the new prop dome in 4 more days and I’ll re cut

Did you know that they discovered a link between the green blue algae blooms and alzheimers. There’s a hospital in NH called dartmouth hitchcock that specializes in researching Alzheimers and they noticed that there was a large prevalence of the disease in the Masacoma lake watershed which historically has a large algea bloom every year.

My mom is going through alzheimers related cognitive decline. Right now we are at the fun stage where it's like looking after and relating to a buddy who is just really stoned and I have lots of experience with that. I'm just not looking forward to when it's 3am and that friend is still drinking and the party ain't ever gonna end.

My mom is going through alzheimers related cognitive decline. Right now we are at the fun stage where it's like looking after and relating to a buddy who is just really stoned and I have lots of experience with that. I'm just not looking forward to when it's 3am and that friend is still drinking and the party ain't ever gonna end.

I wish there was something that could help people who are going through this. Sadly I feel as if western medicine is too entangled with pharmaceutical and insurance companies to think outside of the box and solve problems rather than prolong treatments. I often wonder if mushrooms are the key to things that remain a mystery to the masses because of the stigma that they carry, I recently over indulged in some lions mane 20x extract and I feel like it did something to my brain that needed to be done. My thought process seems quicker than normal and I am able to articulate my thoughts in conversation more clearly than I had before.

Grabbed another bunch of berries and 2 kiwi plants gunna do 4x 25 gallon nursery pots with a few blueberry and goji berrry rest are going in the yard huge new berry patch

16 new berry plants I think?

With the soil and all the plants and the pots, about $260

Dude i enrolled myself in a speech therapy course in a vocational school building. After that i had no trouble getting just about any job i was qualified for. Never would have ended up at the Natl Weather service/NOAA in KC if i hadnt. (the reason i left the warehouse facilities)


people dont even realize how deeply they discriminate against a thick southern accent. Its a subconscious thing rooted in media entertainment.



that Tn accent video i posted nailed it "How many yall think i sound like larry the cable guy?" lmfao. My accent was almost identical to his growing up, but i also had that thing where i couldnt make the ER sound for the longest time. Read my posts in Larry the cable guys voice + a lisp and the inability top make the R sounds, and that was pretty much me right out the back of highschool. I was walking cognitive dissonance for most people lmao. The definition of "Dumb guy voice". people would be genuinely surprised if anything thoughtful or deep at all came from my mouth. It would totally disarm people.

im also on the autism spectrum, and didnt figure out vocal communication til i was 6 years old, and was already being thrown in learning disabled classes in school and essentially labeled "retarded". I actually graduated high school with honors at 17 though, and by now have developed a seriously well rounded hands on skillset, as well as become quite a skilled musician.


my skill sets today actually spin circles around the very same kids i grew up with that once considered me literally retarded, some of them are actually my friends now.

I love putting together some flavors cooking kielbasa and sauerkraut. Did a good one last week, accidentally cooked my onions celery and garlic base a little too long and it caramelized, so I added some whole grain mustard and some German hot mustard and water to the mix, topped with the sauerkraut and steamed with the cover on for another twenty minutes. One of my better mistakes in the kitchen.

The hugelkultur raised bed I did for Mom last year. All naturally accumulated and harvested mineral rich flood plane loam and homemade composts mixed with local topsoils. De-barked hardwoods in the very bottom to slowly decompose.

Today's task is to aerate in a couple bags of composted manure, and top dress some light blood and bone meal before it gets planted
