well there is a set of random mutation that are rather common with cannabis, the more you grow from seeds in large amount the more you're subject to seeing all kind of weirdness.

Yeah I thought it’d be an easier date to remember. But a day later and my beautiful kahuna had snuck off to Thailand and turned into a ladyboy . I had high hopes for that plant, and had been vegging it out under a scrog net for a while in my 1x3 and then into the 2x2 with more room. At least I had a second one growing that didn’t get the royal treatment. Such a shock to see full on male flowers develop practically overnight. Great sadness

I have one strain prone to them but I love the taste so much I can’t give it up. I literally do a full body cavity check everyday. Have checked it at night and then the next morning opened my tent to a full blown open nanner. Funny this is that a male flower takes weeks to do the same thing lol

Weird thing is I’ll run two plants all from the same clone mother and one will throw multiple balls throughout a grow and the other might not throw one. Would not recommend for anyone that doesn’t want to search their plant everyday lol but I enjoy it

I'm over here not breeding plants with any defects at least anything I can see. I mark solos with an X if I see any defects, especially first or second set of eaves while most of us know they'll grow just fine afterwards but I really don't want to propagate defects.

Some are indeed interesting, the double leaves or heavy serrated leaves. Mainly crap like this

Now more than likely these will grow and produce nice looking leaves from here on out but I want perfect plants from the start

Don't assume it takes a male weeks to do the same. In many it will, especially the sativa doms, but This assumption will absolutely come back to bite ya, heads up lol. A meal flower and a female plant is not going to develop an open any more quickly than a male plant, usually they're slower. But what they indeed are is way harder to notice until they do

A male can even blow a fully formed individual flower in veg if you leave it there long enough. If you share a lung room with a flowering tent when that happens you're absolutely 100% going to get some seeds lol.

You'll probably get more seeds from that happening than a hermie flower popping in the same tent with those flowering plants simply because the viability percentage of male pollen is way higher in most cases and you have them in an environment recirculating the same air without ever settling in that context

Outdoors if you leave the males around you usually already have a few open flowers circulating some pollen before the females even start to stack their budlets in August. You won't really get many seeds because of how open the environment is, but you may still see some. Many males will already be opening older flowers ya didnt pay much attention to long before females start stacking. It's generational security in nature.
